What is the load capacity in terms of weight?

 

We tested the rack with evenly distributed weight up to just under 1000 lbs, you could see some flex but there was no permanent deformation after the weight was removed. If you are asking the question I assume you know but weight distribution makes a huge difference, we also tested with 200lbs at a single point on the center of the middle cross bar and again, the rack held up just fine but there was visible flex. No one loads 200lbs at a single support in the middle rack but when designing stuff, you test as much as you can.
That was all static, dynamic weight is a lot trickier because of course you never know how each person is going to drive, these trucks are meant to go off road. driving down the freeway at 85MPH and 250lbs there was no visible flex or permanent deformation, but that again will be affected by the shape of your load and how it is attached.
The rack will most likely hold up longer and heavier than your roof will.

 

Toyota only rates the roof rack hardpoints at like 100lbs.

yeah so, the roof rack is hardly the concern, I'd be more worried about the roof.

@FreshMexicanTaco do you have any pics of what it looks like with the 42” light bar cutout or one installed? I figured no since they’re not shown here or on your site but wanted to ask.
How’s it look/sound with the cutout but no light bar?

It IS a bit louder with the cutout, slim bars actually help with noise because they fill up that gap,
