TACO GARAGE - TRD Pro grilles (and garnishes)

I was 3617, and got mine on the 9th.

 

i ordered on Dec 9th, order 3787 said approx ship date 12/16/19. sent pm on here, asking for an update. no response yet, no worries though. Ski

 

So, you guys are 150-170 orders after mine, now those are not all grills, but im sure they are swamped over there and very well could have to wait for a shipment of new grills to come in.

 

Exactly what I am thinking. Patience here for a good product and great price. Communication is a big plus especially with what looks like lots of orders (the 3rd Gen is now "sold out") and a one-man shop.

 

Yeah this dude seems legit, has plenty of recommendations and reviews, if I get a grill it’ll be from him, he’s got videos and all. He’s just backed up, even headstrong shut down shop for the holidays.

 

While that may be true, the fact that he isn’t responding to people is worrying. I’m picking up my 3rd gen on Friday and will be replacing the grill ASAP. I was going to order from him but am reluctant now with the lack of responses.

 

if you had 170+ orders that needed to be pulled, boxed, labeled, and shipped then you probably would be pretty hard to get ahold of too, not to mention he is probably on the line with his suppliers trying to get more product for what he has sold. He has been a member since 2016, runs a business and has always been a stand up person. I would not worry too much about it right now.

 

Tell that to all the people who lost money with Pelfreybilt. Haha. Obviously this isn’t that extreme, just concerning when someone goes radio silent. Yes he may have a lot to package but that doesn’t mean you get a pass on responding to people who have given you hard earned cash.

 

I have faith in the guy... I know he will come through. . I guess its a good problem to have ... ( For him )

 

FWIW, I ordered on the 16th (#3862) and have had a response to an unrelated question (but not to the gentle questioning of when they might ship...though I understand, based on how many orders it seems were placed, that things may be a bit overwhelming!). He's around!

I get the frustration of those who have ordered and haven’t had much, if any response. We live in a fast food/instant gratification society and we want everything yesterday. I can be the same way, especially with truck parts. Have some patience. No affiliation with the Taco Garage, but I have ordered two Pro grilles over the course of the last two years from @FreshMexicanTaco and all I can say is that he’s always been a stand up individual, and his grilles are top notch quality. He’s a one man band doing the best he can with a family, and everything else. Give him some time and you’ll all get what you ordered. He’s not out to rip anybody off. I wouldn’t hesitate to buy from AJ again.

 

I also feel the same. I never ordered from him but from post and comments I feel ok with the wait. I will say that if he had time to put on his web site yesterday (sold out) then a post on here would also be cool to reassure the people with worries. Not bashing him at all and again I have faith but to the people posting negative stuff it would calm them down already. Maybe he took orders more than he can chew. Again I am cool with the wait time so to each there own. Hope this all works out for everyone.

 

I completely agree. Wasn’t aware of the video posting. Hopefully he reaches out to those with orders. Only speaking from my experiences.

 

I’ll be reading all of these posts and responding today. We’ve been super busy with the holiday season.

OK so there is a bunch of comments and you're all basically wondering the same thing... "where's my grille" so here's the answer...

There were a couple of orders that got in with the black friday discount for which we ran out of stock for. They are late. BUT every order after that was placed after we placed an announcement on the TOP of the product page saying that our grilles were backordered. THEY are in stock now but orders are closed because we are focusing on delivering all of the pending orders.
If you have an order with us and dont have the grill yet, dont worry, ALL orders, including the ones that were placed yesterday or the day before WILL be shipped by tomorrow, tracking numbers are starting to go out now.​

 

We have not pulled this "stunt" "several" times but negative comment spread real quick, out store was down for a very short time and were still here. I am sorry that we didnt get to you emails faster but you WILL get our grill and we are confident you will like it, even though you may not like us so much. Let me know how we can change that...

Those were given away via instagram live feed, a guy from LA area won, Tim, I'm pretty sure he's a TW user but I dont know his UN, we posted about him on IG. The thread here got locked so I couldn't post anything there about it but we kept our word
