No not at all. I was just as surprised as you when they quoted me that price. I think it had more to do with my driving record. If you are in the Los Angeles area, you can go to AIS Insurance like i did and see what they will quote you. They are in San Dimas.

I'm with Gieco and pay $228 every 6 months. This if full coverage and roadside assistance.

I do have my homeowners insurance and my wifes nissan insured with them as well though.

Oh, did I mention I'm over the hill (so my wife says). Mid 40's with no tickets.

Almost forgot: They also covered extended warranty under this price. 5 year 60k mile I believe. I'd have to look it up when I get back home.

I've been with Gieco for about 15 years and I'm sure that along with my home and other cars insurance with them helped.

Here in NY we went with Geico and they are a pain in the ass but they seem to be cheapest for us.

I am with travelers. Three vehicles, a 1989, a 2003, and a 2005, plus a bike, all for 740.00 a year. Full coverage on the 03, 05 and bike, liability on the 89,and we have the house insured with them. No tickets in the last 10 yrs for me,(but I probably just jinxed myself for writing that), and my wife has 1 speeding ticket she received two yrs ago.

This is a perfect example of how things differ from state to state. I was with State Farm prior to Nationwide. I saved $450/year by going to Nationwide and I have much better service.
