You guys bash the Ridgeline, but if Toyota put bed speakers and a built in cooler in the bed, you'd be all over it.

    That would be bad ass.

That article was was worth reading for the comment section alone. Nothing like grown ass fanboys arguing back and forth about why their brand of truck is better

Imagine if the truck had more power and fuel economy? It could actually be number 4.

GM twins could, together outsell, the Tacoma .

Yeah the Ridgeline sales are a joke. Makes me wonder how long they'll keep it around for.

Their monthly change vs 2016 is down 24%, in a market where currently almost everyone wants a truck or SUV?

It's funny. The GM fanboys saying chevy/GMC selling 90k trucks when combining Silverado + Sierra + Colorado + canyon sales and outselling ford F series pickups overall.
Fanboys are so hyped up about sales numbers. Just buy the truck you like and be happy. It's just a truck. There is more important things to worry about in life than how many trucks ford, GM, Toyota, and Nissan sold.

It gets bashed mostly for not being a real truck. It's a glorified Civic

It gets bashed for being a pseudo-truck, that looks like a minivan with the back cut out. lol

I'd be interested to see if Honda either eventually drops the Ridgeline or finally comes out with an actual truck.

Doesn't the Ridgeline share the same chassis as the odyssey? I've seen a few out on the road and it really does look like someone took a car and chopped it and added a bed. Hell they even added a faux break line from the cab to the bed to simulate a sperate truck bed

That silly Ridgeline only appeals to a small niche group of people, I cannot imagine very many regular truck buyers being swayed to buy one.

Urban dwellers that want the Honda nameplate (brand loyalty), a civilized car like driving behavior. Not sure what Honda's marketing/sales projected the sales numbers were going to be but in a highly competitive market that's not good.

It's a Honda Pilot that has been beefed up and stiffened to handle a payload. It's probably a great truck if you never go off road.
As far as sales numbers, just add Ridgeline sales to Honda Pilot sales as it is the same platform.

Yeah that crap doesn't fly. The Ridgeline is a Ridgeline. There is no combining the sales of two different models.

I only envy its payload capacity, 1500 lbs.

Ya think? I bet you a quarter that Honda Motor Corp. combines their sales internally. Same platform, same front clip, same front interior, etc. There is more the same than different between the two models.

lol I'm not going to take a bet, but I can't imagine they are actually combining them internally. They aren't so similar that if the Ridgeline continues to be a total non-factor in the segment sales-wise, that they will just keep it going because they share a platform with another vehicle.

You make it sound like the Ridgeline is practically just a package type for the Pilot.
