    Hey all,

I ordered extended travel King Coilovers and King rear shocks from DSM today

For the notorious Taco lean, I have seen people remedy that with the little spacer on the driver side only.

I am looking to crank the Kings up to get 3" of lift. I have 2 questions:

How many threads/rings do you guys crank it up to to get 3" of lift?
And how much higher should I crank the driver side to remedy the taco lean?

    Thanks all!

Thing is I don't want to install, then have to keep taking them out, putting it together etc. I want to do it the first time so that I don't have to go through the hassle of it.

    Basic overland stuff...
Maybe coilovers will be different but my issue (lean) was even more pronounced with the swaybar off. Same for my brothers 4Runner. His set perfectly level before lift and 1/2" lean (passenger high) after lift and swaybar removal. Just a thought, if you plan to pull the swaybar... i'd set it initially 3/4-7/8" High driver.

Yeah my sway bar is gonna stay there. I think the trim packer people usually get lifts it an extra 1/2 inch if I'm not mistaken?

Trim packer is approx. 1/4-1/2". Curious, why go King coilovers and run a swaybar? High speed stuff? Unfortunately our trails are way to tight and winding for running them with speed.

I don't know how that lift height translates into how many threads extra I need lol.

Yeah I am not gonna go crazy high speed all the time, just here and there. More for bling factor and the nice ride lol.

    A few things
Adjust them on the truck like everybody else?
Loosen set screw, adjust up or down with spanner wrench, retighten set screw, drive and let settle. Then measure and adjust if needed.

I have king ext travel, skid and no armor. They came with 600# coils, I added preload and a 1/4" spacer to the drivers side... (if you add the spacer don't tell anyone on TW or they will reem you a new ass. Trust me). Anyway,I ended up doing a 650# eibach coil on the drivers side, same preload both sides, rides great and finally took care of the taco lean. I hate the taco lean! I also run no swaybar on the front, it corners like a dream now, before with the 600# coils on both and more preload on the drivers side it still felt uneasy. Just my 2c.

Yeah you do have to take them off to adjust the height. That's why I am asking if anyone has any pics to show how many threads for a 3" lift and how many more to get an extra 1/2 inch for the taco lean

I've adjusted mine 3 times. Never removed them.

Jack it up, adjust, lower, then ride around.

Don't you have to take them off to adjust since the hose will get all tangled when you're jacking them up?

That's what a guy at a local shop told me when I had my kings installed/adjusted on my Tundra last year.
