If it was a 1/2" - 1" difference, then yeah I'd def get a spacer. But for 1/16" - 1/8", not worth it. Guess I'll find out long term what the extra weight of the fuel tank and battery will do. But im not a fat a$$ either as I frequent the gym and watch what I eat.

The lean appears after you lift it. Two factors affect this:

1- the lift exaggerates any minor lean you already have.

2- the OEM Toyota springs are different rates left-to-right (side specific). When you put in aftermarket OME springs etc, they are both the same rate, hence even more lean.

My truck was level stock, but needed 1/4” lean spacer to sit level with OME 288 springs and 5100s set identical.

Taco lean is cool. Now get over it.

I haven't noticed the lean. :anonymous: Probably because I'm inside the truck when it's leaning. :anonymous::anonymous:

I still installed my Bilsteins to compensate for it. I don't notice any change in that either.

New tundra has tank on right, but fill neck on left.

Battery on right. Exhaust on left.

They mixed it up a bit. Expect it with the next gen tacoma.

Ok makes sense with adding aftermarket lift springs which both have the same rates. In order to account for this, could I put the spring perch on the second notch up on the Bilstein 5100 and leave the passenger side at the lowest spring perch setting? Or just get the $30 taco lean spacer and call it a day?
Trying to do a 2" lift this weekend and reading about this gave me some disappointment that I don't have all the parts needed just yet.

I believe the spacer is the better option and they pretty much are calibrated for the exact amount needed. The 5100 settings are more coarse than on the 6112s which can be fine tuned for the lean.

Mine sits a 1/2" lower on driver side but it doesn't bother me enough to adjust the coilovers differently.
