the skids mount using six carriage bolts. 4 of them use existing holes in the LCA, but two need holes to be drilled through some thick steel.

    fun stuff.

    Some winter updates...

Replaced my 8-month-old Optima Yellow-Top (no warranty from Amazon ) with an Optima Red-Top. The Yellow wouldn't crank at all if it was cold, but the Red does great so far...

Got some 3LR LED Pods from Blitzpro, and with one car-wash, one already had water inside of it.

...and finally, I removed my "Raptor Mod" LED's and swapped out my Avid bumper for the winter to either repaint it, or get it powdercoated (haven't decided).

I appreciate it! I've always loved your truck and bed racks!

I got this in the mail! Time to do some bracket fabbing!

    Update...

Made roof brackets for 40" bar for roof that mounted to inside of door jamb, but hated them.

Probably going to have to drill into roof, or figure out something else. :(

...and Blitzpro replaced my leaky light with a new 3LR. Blitzpro has awesome customer service!

Going to get new tires tomorrow. I originally wanted to jump to 16's, but am staying with the 15's and 33x10.5 bfg at's. Hope to get new wheels in the spring...

    Winter Mode bumper...

Repainted my wheels since the wheel shop scratched them pretty bad putting the new tires on. :(

Also, replaced my K&N Filter with an AFE Pro Dry S.

Finally got a full size spare and made a mount off of my bed bar. Limits rear visibility somewhat, but I like it overall.

Also, I now have two 40" led bars and need to sell one and then get the courage to drill into my roof to mount the other one...

I'm kinda sick of the magnaflow to be honest. I loved it at first, and it has a really low tone for a 2.7, but I am considering getting a quieter muffler soon.

...and I'm probably going to put the light bar right over the windshield, and I'm sure there will be hood glare, but I'll deal with it.

I'll make a for sale thread soon!

Sure, I'm adding a gusset to it tmrw so I'll add some pics then.
The bumper is 1.75" and 1.5" DOM tubing. Made by Avid Offroad.

Today, I added some 10W LED Pods with amber overlays to the front and put the bumper back on after respraying it.

Today, I finished up my spare mount by welding some ballistic fabrication bling to it...

Here is the roof-mounted LED bar with the LabRak Roof mounts. Started out with a terrible wind noise, but after moving it in the mounts and angling it differently, it's not bad now...

Your light bar is on it's way to you! Not many first gen's with roof mounts!

This is the current position of my light bar with zero wind noise. I liked it a little lower, but it sounded like a 40" kazoo was on my roof.

where did you get the 55w 6k DDM kit from and did you do a retrofit or just drop them in? I really want to go the cheap way and not do retrofits but i'm not sure if it will be safe enough for other drivers or if it's really not as bad as all the retrofit fans say it is

Yeah, I went the cheap route without retrofitting, and they weren't all that terrible once I had them aimed down. I got flashed a couple of times, but not that often.

The DDM kits (I've had a 35w kit and a 55w kit) were very unreliable and after sending them back for new bulbs/ballasts several times, I just switched back to SilverStar halogens. I'd love to do a proper HID retrofit someday...
