    Big increases for the twins.

I wouldnt mind knowing what the f series sales were by model... ie, f150 vs tacoma.

You must have failed elementary math. Almost 2x? Try 1.5 almost exactly...

The GM twins combined are about with in 15% of the Tacoma sales (Canyon and Colorado) and the Colorado gained about 50% from a year ago where they had already been on the market for about a year and were getting ready to roll out the 2016 and Diesel.

So I would say the GM twins look much more impressive than the Tacoma which has only gained 4% over the old model with a "completely redesigned truck" in a midsize truck market that is on fire. The entire midsize market has added 75k sales from this time last year and the tacoma has 10k of them. Even the well dated Frontier is racking in sales at a much faster rate...

    Always one in a crowd.

The Frontier as you say ?? Sold 6364 last month compared to 15,875 for the Taco. I don't even think the word Nissan when I think trucks.
I don't think you even know what math is none the less the word almost.
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rounding
Your lucky day, they even spelled it out for you "For example, 1.5 rounded to integer should become 2"

But 3,029% sales increase over last year. Tacoma had a paltry 6.5% :D

Thats like saying sales increased 100% if you had 2 sales instead of one.

I'm not sure what sales figures Honda was trying to hit with the Ridgeline, but I'd say it's a flop at this point.

It's like I predicted. The demographic Honda was going for, doesn't exist in a large enough scale to make the truck viable. Most truck people don't want a "truck" that looks and drives like a car. And most crossover or family sedan owners don't want a truck or they'd probably already own one. And it doesn't help that it's hideously ugly, to boot.

Was the Ridgeline ever a huge seller?

No, but I'm guessing expectations for this new Ridgeline had to quite a bit higher than this. Especially given the amount of advertising and how red hot the segment is.

From what I have read the maximum left over capacity at the plant the Ridgeline is built at is around 50K vehicles per year. The Ridgeline is built in the same plant that the MDX, Pilot & Odyssey are built in. Those 3 vehicles are strong sellers for Honda so they will not reduce the number of those 3 built so the Ridgeline will be always no more than 50K unless they move one of the other vehicles out of there. I don't think it ever was meant to be a huge volume seller. It's a niche market vehicle for people that want a truck look without giving up an almost car like ride. I remember reading a Honda exec saying in an interview the goal was ~40K Ridgelines a year.

My best friend is a GM at a Honda dealership (they have 3 Honda stores actually) and he says they are selling every single one they can get their hands on, he is quite surprised. Most of the customers so far aren't even the first generation owners. Personally I didn't mind the look (in person it's better photos don't make it look right) thought about it when shopping for a personal tuck but after driving it a few times it drove just too much like my wife's old Sienna and a RX350 that she just gave back. Too car like for me, I like my truck to have a bit of that bouncy ride even though the newer BOF tuck ride quite nice compared to the older ones. I drove a 2015 f150 supplied by my employer all last year and really enjoyed that truck it was just too big for going into busy down town city areas so I went with the Taco and so far not disappointed.

So what I hear you saying is that you really don't know what trucks are? No offense intended, but Nissan makes great trucks.

Yeah, midsize truck sales are hot- Ford and Dodge are getting back in, even if the Ridgeline isn't technically a truck, it is hitching a ride on the midsize truck "train".
I can see a lot of suburban types preferring the Ridgeline specifically because (from what I have read) it drives more like a car.
    Think El Camino... vs C10

I don't care what any car manufacture sale numbers are if they are up or down. I got my tacoma which is what i wanted and I am well satisfied. It doesn't matter to me if I was the only one who bought a tacoma.
