    Hey, guys.
    New here, just joined.
No Taco yet. Still running my ‘08 Silverado Z71. Great truck, been very good to me.
But, I’m done with GMs AFM.
Been wanting a Tacoma for years. I never tow and my payload hauling is minimal.
We hunt and off road some. Plus the Taco will save some garage space.
Will do some reading here and may have a question or two sometime.
Hoping to run my Chevy through this winter and see what the economy looks like.
    Take care, all.

    Welcome

If you are shopping Tacomas, you have probably seen the new GMC Canyon AT4. That could be a decent midsize..

You might already be sold on the Tacoma, I'd probably go Toyota, over GM for a midsize. I do think the Sierra AT4 is the best looking 1/2 ton from GM.

Way too much money for a truck, though.
Been GM my whole life. Their late model engine and tranny issues aren’t worth the money and headaches

Welcome! I came here from a 04 Silverado prior to my 21 Tacoma, you're in good company.

My first concern is being in Wisconsin, the highway departments use salt brine like it’s free for winter roads. It’s hard to have anything nice unless you budget 2-3 washes a week.
And Tacos aren’t known for having long lasting sheet metal.

Another '04 Silverado owner here. My DCLB OR should be built Monday and delivery
hopefully in late July. The '04 has been a good truck outside of the check engine
light being a consistent PITA for the last 10 years, always something minor just very
annoying. Runs great and is now on Craigslist with little interest. I'll probably
    end up trading it in.
I think GM shot themselves in the foot by putting 4cyl turbos in Silverado's and they
run premium fuel only to my understanding. Mine's a V6 and always ran great even
    with the engine light.
    Welcome to TW!
