~1.8” gained up front with the Eibach springs and a 1/4” top hat spacer to both front struts. 1.5” in the rear using a Headstrong AAL.

Center of hub to fender measurements with a full tank of gas.
Front Driver: 20” before, 21.8” after
Front Passenger: 20.15” before, 22” after

Rear Driver: 20.5” before, 22” after
Rear Passenger: 21” before, 22.5” after

Currently on 33” tires with about 600 pounds of additional weight from skids, bumper, & sliders. Happy with how it sits.

Thanks for the info and pics! I have been thinking about getting the 1/4 spacers from Headstrong, since I feel like I lost some lift due to full skids and sliders. However was concerned about the lack of threads that would be showing for the top three bolts, but your pic doesnt look that bad. So.. Ordered! Thanks

@mark@eibach, got the new springs installed and 50 miles so far with no squeaks. Thank you to you, Tanner, and the Eibach team for working to make this right. I will post if anything else changes.

It looks like a lot of people here running these springs are changing the UCAs along with it. I have kept mine stock along with the new springs. They've been performing well so far after a few hundred miles and some trail riding. Still on original tires.

@mark@eibach these springs are designed to work with stock UCAs correct?

I am running the Eibach springs with my 2019 TRD Pro and have not changed my UCAs. Recently I've added some Headstrong 1/4in spacers on top for a bit more lift due to the weight of sliders and full skids, still running stock UCAs. Hope that helps!

Stock upper control arms will work fine with this kit. Most people install aftermarket control arms to get better alignment (specifically higher caster). Higher caster improves on road handling when adding larger diameter tires that weigh more. Since you mentioned you are on stock tires, aftermarket arms wouldn’t make much difference.

I went with SPC arms because I wanted to run mud flaps with my 33s. Prior to SPC, my 33s were within a 1/4” of the cab mount and my alignment had ~2 degrees of caster. The SPC arms allowed my lower arm to move all the way forward, caster increased to 3.6 degrees, and allowed me to run mud flaps up front without rubbing.

Did you have to do any other trimming to avoid rubbing with the 33s?

This is exactly the information I was looking for, thank you. I had considered getting the SPCs for the same reason but had a lot of tread left on stock tires. Probably going to 33s next and would like to keep my mud guards on too. Never wanted to chop or trim anything but still fit 33s.

Any driveability issues with that much weight? With 2 adults in the truck you'd be pushing the max payload these trucks have. Planning to start adding things myself but not sure about weights.

Haven’t noticed any handling or braking issues with 2 passengers, a 100 lbs dog, & a bed full of luggage during 3 hour road trips. I’m probably over the specified payload capacity in that scenario but it’s never created any noticeable driving issues, and the rear axel wasn’t sitting on the bump stops.

I think payload capacity is mostly based on what the stock rear leaf springs can handle, and how much rear sag is acceptable. One thing to keep in mind is 1,000 pounds in the truck bed is not the same as 1,000 pounds spread out over the length of the vehicle. A front bumper and winch would exert more force on the front coil springs than the rear leaf springs. Same goes for a transfer case skid or cat shield.

I’d say if you are worried about payload, upgrade your rear leaf pack to something that can support more weight.

Just chiming in to say even after installing revised flat-ground springs, the squeaks are back. Started somewhere after 1K miles on them. Going to shop Thursday to have it inspected. Anyone else having issues with revised springs?

I am not having any issues. About 1,500 miles so far.

I remember your previous post showing damaged shafts and top hats. Did you replace both of those components when you put the new springs in?

I installed the springs on new shocks, which included new hats. To be more specific.

Is it happening on driver & passenger side?

Does the squeak come and go, or is it constant while driving?

I am kinda surprised this is happening still. I’ve seen zero reports of squeaks on the thread about the westcott designs lift. Since that kit adds preload to a spring that isn’t ground flat, I would expect some people to be reporting squeaks. I also haven’t seen any 2022 Pro owners reporting squeaks, and those stock springs are taller than the 2020-2021 versions, and people have been adding the westcott kit to those as well.

The Fox shocks aren’t that unique in terms of design, so I can’t really see it being an install issue for any reputable shop. Pretty baffled tbh. Going to be interesting if more people with the new springs have issues.

They were quiet at first. A few weeks after install I tried some easy gravel mountain roads with some mud, and I washed my truck right after coming off the trail. The squeaks returned after that. I've done as much inspection as I can on my own and can't see anything wrong. The ride/response is fine too.

Noise seems more pronounced on the passenger side but sounds like both sides are making it. It is a low level noise, but audible nonetheless. It's most noticeable when windows are cracked/open going over any deviations in the road at low speeds, when road noise is quiet. If at speed you can't really hear it over the road noise. I can make it happen by pumping the brakes or stepping hard on the running boards.

The shop I use is very reputable and experienced with lifting these trucks. They have not had any other Tacomas (besides mine) come in for the Eibach TRD Pro spring lift, so they don't have much to compare it to. However, they have done Westcott lifts for Pros and have never had any issues. If damage is present again, Plan B is the Westcott kit. I'll report back what we find.
