The Pro should handle some pretty good rock crawling with either these Eibach springs or a Westcott lift and bigger tires. Can’t wait to find out, Eibach. I’ve done alot of the moderate trails at Windrock & Uwarrhie and the stock fox’s with 31” duratrac tires have handled great! The clearance sucks, I’ve added full armour because of it, and I just try to avoid the tougher sections until I can fix my lift.

Has anyone put 295/75/16 tires on the Pro wheels? Just wondering if they'll fit. Also, does anyone know the offset of the Pro wheels?

Much appreciated. I assume you mean negative offset i.e. the tires stick out 13 mm?

No, + is positive. A negative sign (-) would indicate negative offset.

Negative offset usually means a tire will stick out the fender, and positive offset will give a flush look. Generalizing, but negative if you want to clear the upper control arm for bigger tires, risk wheel well rub. Positive to clear wheel well rub, but risk hitting the UCA.

Definitely a generalization. I only mention this because wheel fitment is not usually this simple. I've seen negative offset wheels that won't even clear the calipers, and positive offset wheels that poke past the fender. Suffice it to say that there are more variables to consider than offset alone.

This is getting off topic though. I'd recommend some reading in the wheels and tires forum, or here: https://m.tirerack.com/tires/tiretech/techpage.jsp?techid=101

@Mojo Jojo the numbers I posted are correct. The Pro wheels stick out about .5" further because they have less positive offset then the rest of the OEM wheels.

    Tacoma OR - 16X7 +25mm Offset
    Tacoma Pro - 16x7 +13MM Offset
    4Runner Pro - 17x7 +4MM Offset

I like this website to visualize the changes as I shop for wheels and tires: If a set of wheels had negative offset, they would stick out further then the Pro wheels.

I was wondering the fitment of 295/75/16s too Mojo. Wanting something a little taller than 285s.

Looked through this thread and no clear answer, but I suspect tire clearance at the UCA may be a bit close for a Pro unless running wheel spacers. I ended up getting some barely used 34/10.50/16 bias ply Swampers until I decide on a tire with better road manners.

Thanks for the clarification, I didnt realize they had a positive offset. Thinking about going extended travel in the rear but I'm learning it requires a 2" offset to clear the relocated shock mount. I'm assuming that's 2" of offset from an OR wheel, which in absolute terms would be -25mm of offset.
 I have so much to learn....

@Mojo Jojo There are specific sub-forums where there's probably more info available.
My assumption would be that it's 2" (approx. 50mm) from 0 offset though.

    Personally, I probably wouldn't even put 285's on a 7" rim, much less a 295.

A quick lesson on how supply chains work will clear this up. The team at Toyota reaches out to Fox and says "hey, we would love to partner on this project." Fox, being a damper manufacturer, says "we're in". Fox then says to Eibach (their trusted spring partner for many years now) "Hey we've got this great project with Toyota, you in?" we say "yup" and then we all work on the project together. We're considered a Tier 2 partner in this scenario, therefore the part numbers match Fox's nomenclature as it is technically a part on a Fox assembly.

For this TRD PRO - Lift Spring project we retained factory rates, but the discrepancy in question is in reference to the 20' spring. Our 17-19 spring does in fact also share the 650lbin. rate that the OE 17-19 spring has.

Interesting, this may be why it seems impossible to find an OEM Toyota part number for just the spring. They likely have a P/N for the assembled coilover, but I didn't even see a part number for that (but I didn't look too hard, was mainly looking for a spring part number).

So, based on this info, it seems the main difference in this spring and the stock one is just the length.

I’ve been running the Revtek preload spacer lift for a couple years now and haven’t had any issues either on nor off road. Other than mud getting inside the spacer and causing a horrible squeaking noise at lower speeds..

I’d really like to purchase these springs before next winter Eibach. So I can eliminate the issue I’m having, as well as soften the ride on the trails back to the original feeling. Thank you.

Thanks for the clarification Mark. Makes sense and glad to know the details of these springs.

Spent the last 4 days rolling through Anza Borrego Desert State Park and Ocotillo Wells. New suspension worked great. I really like the new ride with these springs, both on road and off road. From narrow mountain passes to high speed desert washes, worked a treat. Still need to upgrade the tires, I'm still running the stock GY Wranglers. Could have used an extra inch or so, got high centered on the diff on a rock I should not have...Poor driving on my part.
