This is my guess as well: "perhaps toyota wants them to wait till 2022 models hit the sales floor before offering a suspension that makes older pros have the same lift as newer pros."

It may even be longer than that so they can allow for some sales. If it turns out to be the case, WTF.

The performance lift kit from Toyota for all the other Tacoma models is indeed a rear spacer lift.

I have a ARE Cap on the back of my Pro now so I asked my Tech at the dealer (who also drives a Voodoo Blue Pro from 18') if he thought the spacer from that kit would work with the existing Pro suspension (to level out the rear squat) and he said he wouldn't see any reason why not.

Yawn, I just want the most clearance and the best ride for the least amount of hassle and $$$.

TOYOTA - if you're reading this, release a lift kit for the Pro models dammit!

Plot twist, eibach wont be selling us springs for the lift kit, it will be a dealer exclusive item to buy that has to be installed by the dealer.

    Yeah.
I don't think Toyota would have much to say about what Eibach offers for the aftermarket. But, coming in with an engineering change (through Fox) that requires a new, longer spring design for a production vehicle that they have already kind of been working on, likely shifts whatever production they had planned over to producing the new part for a big corporate customer first. Or, they may have just wanted to wait to see if what they design for Fox for the '22 will work for their aftermarket customers.

Great, but neither this or the TFL video bothered to get shots of what's going on with the rear suspension to get the lift.

I am confused- this is Tacoma world- Why post 4Runner springs? Perhaps I am mistaken. If this is for the TRD Pro Tacoma it would be very cool.

You know this 100%? You've literally looked at a 2022 TRD Pro and observed a block, or have a video or picture that shows this?

I think the assumption is that the Pro achieves it .5” rear lift from a spacer like the new trail edition does which it states here. https://pressroom.toyota.com/new-2022-tacoma-trail-edition-4x4-is-ready-for-adventure/
If it was another way, surely they would be boasting about it:notsure:

    Yeah.
Yeah, agree it is highly likely, and a half inch spacer is not really a big deal (it's not like it has 2-3" blocks). I would prefer a better leaf pack, though.

I'm curious about the front of the Pro, and whether they have a new, longer coilover shock to go with the spring or just put on a longer spring.

Curious about the same. I’m wondering if the 1.5 inch lift up front is from the same FN springs we have been teased with for almost 2 years nowo_O the August-November release of these seem to be in line w/ when we will start seeing the 22’s on showroom floors.
My money is on, it’s all the same spring:notsure:

The way I read the press releases, the 2022 Pro is a 1.5" lift over a non-Pro Tacoma. So only .5" higher than pre-2022 Pros. The Eibach Pro lift spring is about 1.25"-1.5" lift over the Pro in Stock form. This puts our Pros ~2.25"-2.5" lift over a non-Pro Tacoma.

But I love a good conspiracy theory...........

Been watching this space from the jump. Given all the information, here is my best guess as to what is happening behind the scenes at Eibach/Toyota:

Mark@Eibach had said previously that they had test vehicles running the new longer springs for R&D, including his own truck. That R&D period is obviously taking longer than expected.

I bet during that testing it was determined that a better front UCA would be required to make it work right with the existing Fox shocks.

This feedback was probably passed to Toyota, or co-developed with them, and they said: "Obviously people want to lift the truck while keeping the same Fox shocks, so let's update the Pro Suspension for 22' with these new higher springs Eibach is developing, and add a new UCA and/or a rear block to make it all work". (Not an actual quote)

We are likely waiting because they (Toyota) doesn't want to have these new Eibach Springs released either before the 22' Pros come out, or because they don't want Eibach to release these Springs before people can also purchase the new UCA and rear block with them. This would explain the timing of it all.

My hope is that they'll do a whole kit with the rear blocks from the new Toyota lift kits, new UCAs, and the new Eibach springs. Seems like that would lift it, keep it level, and allow Pro owners to keep their Fox shocks. Basically give prior year Pro model owners a chance to get up to spec w 22' Pros.

I've been riding on an R&D set of springs since Feb. I can confirm UCAs are not required.
Eibach’s TRD Pro lift springs give 1.25”-1.5” ON TOP OF the TRD Pro’s already 1” lift in the front as compared to other Tacoma trim levels. As I posted before, this would give it 2.25”-2.5” of lift over other trim levels for 2022, not 1.5” of lift. Unless they redesigned the TRD Pro shock for 2022 around a spring Eibach already had in production…highly unlikely as this would seem to be the tail wagging the dog.
I love a good Conspiracy Theory! I’m in hook, line, and sinker!
I dig it! I’ll be first in line to buy the UCAs, until the pricing is released and they want my first born child…could part with the second born, but not my first!
