Got my new springs installed today, along with Icon UCAs and 285/75r16 Nitto Ridge Grapplers. Based on my before/after measurements, I gained an inch and a half height from the new springs (just in the front) and an inch and a quarter from the new tires (front and back). I’m happy with the added height, especially considering the additional weight of the front bumper and winch.

New fender heights are 37 1/2 inches from the ground in the front and 38 inches in the back. I have an Icon AAL in the back already…

The guys at the shop couldn’t get the 33s to rub, so I think I’m in the clear. Drove about 15 miles home, ride seemed fine. A little more firm in the front, but still comfortable.

I'm really looking forward to the 2020+'s to become available.

Wow looks great! Looks like you were able to keep your stock mudflaps in the front and still saw no rubbing from the 285s?

What do you think it'd take to convert a 21 pro to a 22 suspension? Obviously the new UCA, but what else? Any theories what it will cost? Sure wish there were a search option for within threads...

Anyone have these with stock rear? Dont really want to run a block or AAL, but also don't want it to be too squatted.

There is a search option in the threads, click search, then check "Search this thread only"

But you wont find your answer here, this is about a aftermarket spring upgrade for stock pro suspension.

Funny you mention that…. I noticed today some wear on the right front mud-flap, so they will likely come off soon.

lol ahh bummer, guess with 285s the only flaps can be the rears or some very flat aftermarket ones for the front. Thanks!

What kind of gas mileage are you getting with the 285s? I’m currently averaging around 16-19 on my 265s (depending on the type of driving)

Yeah I have no rubbing on 285s with my Tufskinz mudflaps, front and rear.

I do have a CMC but was able to bolt my front mudflaps back up, just with extra space for the tires.

How much are you guys paying to have these installed? The labor is pretty much the same as just upgrading the suspension.. More quotes I got were $600-800 with alignment.

For those of you that did these yourselves, how did you compress the spring to install it? What about alignment?

Install the new suspension components, and new tires if that's in your plan, and then get an alignment.

@Hypetaco Install is very easy. YouTube is your friend. And yes, that style of spring compressors that @skeletron linked above work fine. Note: they're easier to use when lubed, and when using air tools.

I didn’t want to take on the risk with those spring compressors as they are very dangerous. I had a local shop put the springs on for me.

I had a shop swap the springs for me $30 bucks and same shop did alignment for $75. Really wasnt a big job. Only issue I had was the shop didnt keep the shock lined up with the top plate when they swapped the springs. No problem... took the shock back and compressed spring again, lined the shock up correctly. Total time including alignment was about 3 hours with running back to the shop 3 times.
