The 2021 suspension is the same as 2020. The 2022 gains .5” of height, but unsure how that is achieved. Could be a top spacer, or a taller spring than the 2020-2021.

The reason stock UCA works with either TRD Pro lift kit is because proper alignment can be achieved for the amount of lift it provides, and because the UCA is not the component limiting travel. The Fox shocks are the limiting component, even with a 1/4” top spacer. This can be determined by placing your truck on jack stands, removing a front wheel, and then unbolting the shock from the lower control arm. Once unbolted, the wheel will be able to droop further until the UCA ball joint is maxed out. In this scenario, the UCA has additional downward movement available, which means the Fox shock is the component that limits downward wheel travel.

I believe Toytec has a 1 inch top spacer kit for the TRD Pro shocks. In that scenario the spacer pushes the wheel travel downward, and the UCA becomes the component that limits travel. This is bad and can lead to your UCA ball joint breaking/wearing faster.

If someone claims to not rub with 285/75r16 on stock suspension, they are probably off-roading on trails that don’t require turning, or haven’t done a difficult enough obstacle that flexes the suspension. No amount of alignment on the stock front end can prevent 285/75r16 from rubbing the cab mount.

One caveat is that SPC adjustable UCA, in combination with pushing the LCA all the way forward, could probably get 285/75r16 to fit without modifying the Fox shock setup. You’d rub the front plastic in this scenario, but that easier to fix than doing a cab mount chop.

What's up guys. Thanks for all the info.Quick update. Just got the Eibach Pro Springs installed onto 2021 trd pro fox shocks that I bought used with 2k miles on them. These went on my 2021 Trd OR. Got about 2.3 inches in the front over stock OR. Did an Icon AAL for about 1.5 inches of lift in the back. Although some of the photos it looks lower (due to approx 400 lbs of gear and tires in the back). SCS Ray10s 17x8.5 -10 offset wrapped in 265/70/17 KO2's. No Rubbing even on stock mudflaps or when entering a driveway hot. Very Happy with the ride so far. Feels firmish but softens up a bit on bigger potholes. Much better of a ride than the stock bilsteins. They were too soft for my taste. Still have to test this set up in the NJ Pine Barrens which are mostly sand trails with some good whoops. Love the height, the stance, and the ride. Before and after pics below.

FYI, I was able to sell my pro springs on eBay for $140. Made $104 after shipping (flat-rate box of @ $16) and the steep eBay fee.

Getting my 285/75/16 put on today.

285/75/16. Two angles so I don’t get in trouble like last time . Dude said I have between 3-5mm between the tire and UCA. No rubbing; looks like I have plenty of clearance.

Thanks! ko2s from FW at3w. Substantial weight difference, but change in power people report must be nominal, or it's simply disguised better with a manual transmission.

Well, two weeks in after install of 2020+ springs and developed a squeak on both sides. Taking it back to the shop in an hour. Any advice/guidance?

Don’t want to say anything negative in regards to Eibach. I waited and waited for the Spring release and ended up going with Westcott. Approx. Same amount of lift. Absolutely no issues and I run 285 Dura-Tracs. Eibach should do the same with no issues. Eibach products kick ass. I was just tired of waiting for production to happen. The Factory Fox shocks ride the same after the kit as before. I could only assume they’ll feel the same with the Eibachs. You know Eibach wouldn’t release them if they’re testers had issues.

I wouldn’t do that. Do the Westcott kit or the Eibach Springs if your running stock UCA’s. If you upgrade UCA’s run both. Your not going to damage anything but your alignment will suffer. New UCA’s are cheaper then ruining tires.

thats what i did, EiBach upgrade springs. 1/4 in top plate spacer both sides, 2 in rear tapered block, stock UCA's, the alignment is spot on. really happy with the looks, and got a few compliments on the way it looks..

I would agree. I’ve got SPC UCA sitting in a box and will be putting those on with the lift.

A bonus of going with SPC is that you can move your lower arm’s ball joint forward (away from the cab mount), while keeping alignment within recommends specs. Can’t do that with other brands that have additional caster built in.

haha I certainly do. In fact I blast it but can’t help the cheap feeling after when I’m getting in and out of it.

Do you have a squeak? It seems to be coming only from the front driver side coil over near the top hat.

Feel like this is a dumb question. The stock pro fox shocks can handle both the westcott preload/perch kit + upgraded eibach springs? I have the westcott lift, looking for someone to install, and started to wonder in doing the springs in combo was also worth it.

Finally got around to installing the Eibach's and AAL on my 2021, very happy with the result. Ride is slightly stiffer than stock but I actually prefer it. Perfect stance and is exactly what I was going for, not too high in the front with a slight rake.

Looks good, what AAL did you go with? Also, are those the 285's you were moving to?

I am currently looking at going with the Eibach springs and the Headstrong 3 leaf AAL (1.5") but I don't want it to look like my tires are too small with the extra lift so I am also considering a move from my 285/70/17's to a 295/70/17 or 305/70/17 but I don't know if I will need anything more than CMC. I have done tons of trimming already to run my 285's.

With the lift, I didn't have to do any trimming for 285/75/16s, but maybe the 2020+s have a slight OEM lift over 2017 pros?

I went with the HS AAL as well and 285's. I think 285's look just right with this setup and no rubbing at full lock / with some articulation. On my last Tacoma (2018) I was rubbing like crazy with 285's and more lift so had to trim the front and CMC, but I was running -25mm offset wheels so I think the offset on the pro wheels helps a lot. Alignment is tomorrow then I'm going to test it out a bit more but I don't think I'll need to trim or do a CMC in its current state.
