Not sure if this picture helps anything. Definitely reach out to Eibach, they are incredibly responsive.

Is there a new Eibach support rep on this thread? Looks like Ryan has been inactive since 2020.

Man I hope so too, but we tried a couple of different times, and the un-level tophats where still the outcome. The top hats are oriented properly for the Pro shocks, and the assembly is definitely correct (washers, bushings, etc), so I have no idea what I could be doing wrong here. A little disappointed to be honest. Still hoping its user error.

So are the washers and bushings under the top hat there? I just watched a disassembly video and trying to figure out why your shock is sitting at an angle?

I would like to figure it out before i start my install

Correct. Assembly was done per OEM specifications - Right above the dust boot you have the "cup" style washer which butts up against the lower top hat bushing. On top of the top hat you have the top bushing, top washer, and bolt.

I shared this in the other thread but mine looked the same as Stigman's when I installed the Eibach springs on 2021 PRO Fox struts. I ended up installing them because the shop who swapped the springs for me didn't have major concerns with the orientation and I was able to bolt them up with no issue, even though my gut told me something was not right. Here is a pic of them installed, the angle was corrected once weight was put on the shock but looking forward to hearing what Eibach says about this.

Was your top bushing also all squashed like mine is before you put them on the truck?

Yes, top bushing was squashed like yours and the tophat was sitting at an angle. Not saying it is right but my guess is anyone with 2020+ springs has the same issue whether they know it or not -- if a shop installed everything from start to finish you would never know the uninstalled shock looked like that since the orientation appears to correct itself once weighted.

Did you reach out to Eibach directly? Any response?

I attempted to reach out yesterday, but their technical support team might actually be off for the rest of the week. At least that’s what somebody told me who I talk to.

As a reference, here are a few pictures of the factory Fox springs -- not a flat top as others have suggested. Pigtail top and bottom though the top definitely coils tighter.

On a side note, it just dawned on me that this is probably the exact reason why I wasn't able to use the LCA method to install the springs. Someone asked about it a few days back and it's all coming full circle.

I’ve wondered the same. Toyota engineers decided to stop using a flat coil spring between 2019/2020, while also changing the spring rate from 650 lbs down to 620 lbs. Yet no change in lift/ride height. Considering Toyota continued with a non flat coil design for 2022, there must be a good reason for not using a flat coil.

my tops /bottoms are flat.. the bottoms of newer ones arnt because of the perch, but wonder why the tops arnt, they would sit better

I can’t comment on the flat coil design part but I can say that the pro spring is actually 600# on the earlier (pre 2020) pros. The spring rate and tuning in general was related to the wheel change which was I guess significantly lighter.

I actually have a quote by eibach as well stating that the new pro lift springs where heavier in spring rate then stock.

Interesting, because post #938 from Mark states that the 2017-2019 spring is a 650 lbs spring, not 600. I have not seen any posts about the stock spring being 600 lbs.

    Yeah.
If you haven't already, and you are sure you have done everything right, I'd just put them on the truck. I think they will straighten up when installed, and your bushing will look less squashed once it doesn't have the spring pressing against it.
