Dead doe wash with a smidge of snow today. Nice and slippery. Unfortunately the vids are iPhone so I can’t upload them.

And I’m terrible about getting pics so this is what others got.

    Looks like a good time!

Edit: I must have missed it but why no fiberglass bedsides anymore?

Rock crawling bedsides. Been meaning to at least paint them to match. I swap to them for difficult trails where damage is more likely.

That was a fun little trip. Snow definitely made everything wayyyy more slippery than it normally is

Just found your build thread. Love the new color wrap you did and now I’m on Amazon lol. How well is the wrap holding up after almost a year?

Thanks man. For doing it myself it is holding up quite well. But about 6months ago I learned that I missed a prep step specifically for the fiberglass that will cut the life of this wrap job in half. Sucks but you learn as you try things. I’m starting to get peeling at the edges of the fiberglass fenders in a few spots. Not sure if that is entirely from the missing prep step, or because I have no inner fenders and they are just high rock, water, dirt, and snow flinging areas. If it is still looking good in another year I will be happy, but I’m getting ready to cage the truck so welding to the cab may completely ruin the wrap in the process

What was it that you skipped? What were the harder portions of the truck? I’m super OCD so small shit would bug the hell out of me on something like this haha

I’m not entirely sure what I skipped lol. I had the owner of a tint shop help me with it since they had done smaller vinyl work like custom stickers, hood wrap, racing stripes, but never a full vehicle. He went to wraps-con a few months after we were done and came back to say my fenders wouldn’t last. Something about the fiberglass that takes an extra prep step.

The easy parts were the hood, roof and doors. Everything else was tough due to curves

If you’re going to be upset if it is not perfect, then pay someone to do it. There’s a reason professionals charge so much, it’s not easy. I spent probably 40hrs on doing mine and it has lots of imperfections. Most of which aren’t very noticeable, but I know they’re there.

Custom sticker for the car complete and installed. Using the term “trophy truck” loosely, it’s no Ford Raptor or anything.

And this is why I’m waiting until spring to start the roll cage. 447E74AF-58F6-4465-9350-7809671EF0FB.jpg

Absolutely epic day on the mountain today though. Knee deep powder everywhere and waist deep in spots.

It was epic today and not busy at all. If I wasn’t going to phx I’d join you for sure tomorrow. I’d just get there early to beat the crowds. Phoenicians will start showing up tomorrow for sure. We’re coming home Saturday and will be back on the mountain Sunday if you choose to wait. But nau snow days are rare and 2 in a row may never happen again

Haha I’d love to but we are taking the 4Runner. And with the road closures and my parents coming to town in a few days We won’t be messing around on our way home. Need to get back and finish shoveling the driveway lol
