Ahh, didn’t think about using it for a full point. That would be much more convenient. Might have to look around to see if anyone sells them.

Might be cool to have the toyota emblem machined into the cap

It’s pretty big and $100. I’m seeing a variety of sized ones for $20-40 so I might just have to do that while the diff is out getting gears done. Just need to check the housing to see where and about what size would fit nicely. I like the idea for an easy fill plug.

I was also thinking this hahah. Well after you whip up the quote for the axle redrill we will talk about this. I’ll take a look at the housing tonight and figure out a spot for it and see how big we can go. Maybe whip up 2 so @Adventure4x4 can throw one in his tundra axle as well

Yeah, that’s exactly what I meant. Let’s you check gear teeth, locker mechanism and double as a convenient fill port

If I want to be cool and brag and run some massive 18” shackles is looks like I’ll be able to pull 22” of travel out of these leafs.

Yeah it probably wouldn’t work too good. Gonna mock up some things in the coming week or two to finalize the design parameters. I’m at 16.5” of travel now. Hoping for 18”+ when it’s done.

Well with the previous/ current setup I was sitting at about 9” of up travel and 7” of droop at ride height

He had to pull the tail stop to swing it in.. but it fits! Less than a .001" run out. Checked on the shaft and the shoulder closest to the jaws.

Yeah, axles and diff should be done by the end of the week. I just need to wait until the end of next week for pay day so I can pick them up haha.

Side note this diff is f*^king heavy. I think the 8” is like 60-70lbs. Diff guy said he weighed one of the 10.5’s and it’s 108 stock and 126 or something with the locker. I drop it in while the axle is out and I never have to pull it back out from under the truck. That’ll dent the floor when it drops to the ground
