Slow start. Need to grab tube this week or next weekend. But tucking things up as tight as I can is the plan.

trimmed up the grille so I can recess the light bar further back.

redid the cross member with some supports so it is nice and strong. Plan is to throw a receiver hitch in the design for a removable winch so I don’t have that weight up front full time.

    approach angle potential is awesome.

Hoping it doesn’t snowball into redoing all the skids, but there is potential for it. Need to figure out the transition from the front main skid to the ifs skid.

Insert winch where pictured lol. Little receiver hitch will barely protrude from the skid

Pro tip: Use metal not cardboard. It's a lot tougher.

That section is purely a “fuck that bush” section. So a little bit of light structure and light skid. Just need to protect the radiator. Probably gonna double up the cardboard and call it good

Picked up steel yesterday and made some good progress.

As always it's looking really good. You're going to be much happier with the steel over the cardboard.

Bumper finished up finally after slacking because of the heat. Only thing left is to figure out where I’m going to mount the removable winch. Space is pretty limited lol.

New bumper estimated somewhere between 30-40lbs lighter than the old one as well. Which is a huge gain and what I was hoping for

Prep for sand hollow at the end of the month underway. Love these jack stands. Can get the truck fully drooped with tires on in the garage finally.

    But on the downside…..

That used main I threw in before koh didn’t last too long. Starting to be a recurring theme with this truck and busting main leafs. Wouldn’t be an issue with links :crapstorm:

Springs were starting to sag anyways after about 2 years of abuse. So gonna order up some freshies for this trip and keep this thing going.
