I recently purchased a topper for my tacoma, what do I connect the topper wires to? Topper to truck. There are 2 wires 1 for the break light and the other for the lights inside.

The brake light wires attach to the driver side tail light. The interior light attaches to the battery.

interior light goes straight to the battery? or is there already a wire in the back of the truck that I could connect to?

Nothing at the back of the truck is always hot. Need to go to the front of the truck.

Brake light should tap into driver side tail light brake. Should be able to ground in the same area. The install instructions for my cap say to tap into running lights at the tail light for the dome light. But then the dome when only work when running lights are on. Best to go straight to battery, so you can use dome light whenever you need.
