I have a 2007 4 door SB Tacoma and within the past month or so it has started, ran for 2-3 seconds, then it shuts off, I try to start it immediately after and it starts perfectly fine. its happened probably 3-4 times. This only occurs during cold starts, some electrical components such as the clock get reset so i don't know if its an electrical issue or something more serious. I did recently have my alternator replaced, idk if that could have anything to do with it though.

First thing you need to do is to clean and tightened the battery terminals. If that doesn't work, go to the auto parts store to have the battery load tested along with the alternator.

Definitely a battery/voltage issue. Mine always does this after I disconnect the battery.

Thanks guys, my trucks going in for wheel bearing replacements tomorrow so I'll probably mention it while i'm there, i disconnected my ditch lights and my CB this morning and it did it again so its definitely something electrical.
