Jesse, Thank you very much. I think that the Pioneer TS 6x9s are the route I am going to go. I am curious as to what the difference is between the Dynamat and the competition.

Thanks for all the info! :D

I want to buy a Ford F150, Dodge 1500 or something inferior. Ever since I came to realize that the Tacoma is the official Truck of the Carolina Alliance, I want nothing to do with it. I feel dirty and it sickens me :puke: that I’m a quasi-member of sorts. It’s a terrible feeling you Texans may never understand.

I love my Taco and I maintain it well but I have inadvertently trashed it after the break in period. Since the Taco replaced my 03 Subaru WRX, I continue to drive it like a sports car. I go from 5th to 3rd to pass thereby red lining regularly. I burn on trails and push it in the snow. I pull a car/landscape trailer with heavy loads exceeding 3 tons. I may have exceeded the tow limit many times and I tow in very hilly conditions. The engine screams murder and in some cases I pull on 3rd or 2nd for extended periods. I pull without a break controller so I go from 5th to 3rd to stop and even to 2nd, JUST ONCE. I know I know. Don’t remind me of the consequences. Last weekend I had 900 pounds of stone on the bed for about 48 hours. I have done a lot of things I should not have done with this truck and I have a lot more abuse lined up for her for the next little while. I currently have 15K miles and will need new tires soon. Does that tell you anything? Also, my Taco cant tow my Skid Steer thereby having to rent tow's. It’s a matter of time before the piston rings come out of the exhaust. As a result, I don’t feel comfortable keeping her for more than a couple of years or 80,000 miles at most. Hence, I don’t want to invest money on lifts, stereos and the bull bar/winch I always wanted. Hopefully, Tacoma will have a Diesel or Hybrid by then and my pet project will be complete by then. So, it all works out. :D

BTW, don’t worry I’ll still be around to torment the Alliance and especially its Founder. You can count on that .

Maybe I don't understand, but that puts you on my buddy list! That, plus a few dollars (CDN) will buy you a cuppa coffee.

Redrum, that setup would be good. If you are going with that amp you need to get the single voice coil subs. When you wire both of them in Parallel, you will get a 2 ohm load which would give you 500watts rms from your amp.
the 4 gauge wire will also work just fine.
