Planning on turning this 2012 DCLB Sport into a camper overland rig over the next couple of years. Definitely stoked to have such an amazing community here in tacomaworld as a resource for working on the truck. Will be posting here with updates and details as I go along.

Got the truck from a dealer in South Carolina on Jan 17 with 91000 miles on the clock.

    Mods from the original owner

-Amp Research power steps (for sale by the way, message me)
    -Tinted windows
-Putco Blade LED bar on the tailgate (not my style, also for sale)
-A few dents here and there but its in great shape!

Things I've done since buying the truck
-Bought used Weathertechs from a Tacomaworld member
-Swapped interior lighting to Sylvania LEDs
    -Mounted a QuadLock phone mount
    -12V outlet splitter mount
-Bought Leer cap from another amazing TacomaWorld member
    -Mobtown tailgate skin and cap

    Planned Mods
-Build makeshift camper in the bed of the truck (advice would be rad)
-Bilstein 5100 and Icon add a leaf to lift the truck
    -ARB front bumper
    -Pelfreybilt rear bumper
    -Prinsu racks
-All kinds of other stuff y'all have inspired me to do

Here's a pic of the truck on day 1

Here's a picture of the cap! It's pyrite mica but I'm going to be getting it painted soon!

I'll post pictures of some of the other stuff later. Hopefully this build thread will be more interesting in a few months when I've done some more to the truck. Loving it so far

Plasti dipping my seat backs to get them to be grippier. Threw some pumice powder in it on the first coat for some texture. Tired of stuff sliding around and into my door panels

    Update:
Leer 100XR has been color matched to the truck now and I got it all worked up. 20170302_114618.jpg 20170302_211014.jpg
Then yesterday I drilled some holes in it aftwr a whole lot of carful measuring and put Yakimas 54 inch tracks on it to prep it for bars. 20170310_153951.jpg 20170310_153936.jpg

I also bought some headrests for the rear seats from a guy on Craigslist in Pennsylvania with the help of a TW member. 20170310_155043.jpg

I've also taken the truck in to my local Yota dealership to have it looked over well since it has 90,000 miles on it and not much of a published service history. They said exactly what I thought, that everything looked great but nothing but oil changes had been done. I had them change diff fluid in the front and rear, change my transfer case fluid, and change my spark plugs. The truck is running noticably better with the new plugs and I'm a happy dude!
