I know for a fact I’m not the only one. You park at a store next to a Tacoma owner of the truck is there and you guys go on like a 30 min talk about your trucks haha

Tacos are good but for me over here at 6am to early

 

Yes, that has happened many times with me and my truck, but mostly because my truck is the only one like it. This usually happens when I am in the gas station at Costco, pumping gas. I usually leave my driver door open, because it is a subtle way for me to show off my totally beautiful interior mod, where I had the door panels as well as the center console, covered in faux leather. Several times, while there at the gas pumps, other tacoma owners will pull in, see the doors, and literally 'run' up to my truck, asking something like "where did you get that done???" Of course, they then usually also notice that I have a "gasshole" from Meso Customs, also installed in my filler cap entrance, which also prompts more conversations! I have to admit that I DO enjoy it!

 

I can't be the only one that actively avoids talking trucks with random people in real life though, right?

I would literally park as far away as possible.

I park far but if I see another Tacoma I go and park next to it. 50/50 chance I’ll see the owner

I shit you not, some guy driving a Tacoma got all bent out of shape when my pops pulled up and told him, “Nice taco.” (We were in his civic at the time).

I usually avoid people in general, but if someone asks a question about the truck I’m not going to be an ass. I’ll also park by other Yota’s as long as they aren’t too close to the general population parkers.

 

I do the same. Saw another person with a Cav Blu OR on Saturday at the gas station so I went to fill up next to him. This is important because in my town (population 14k) I've seen maybe 1-2 other Tacomas and 1 Tundra in the 5 years I've been living here. Everyone here drives a Ford or Chevy truck, and this is farm country so 3 out of 5 people drive a truck.

 

Here in Southern California especially in my city I can’t drive more than 1 mile without running into another cement Tacoma or any 3rd gen color

 

Maybe I'm still on the honeymoon phase of getting my truck (got it in Nov 19' and I'm still in love love with the thing) but I'd really like seeing that. I live out past the western suburbs of Minneapolis in corn field country and it's all Fords and Chevys. There's a huge Chevy dealership in town so that kind of makes sense.

 

Yeah I see what you mean it’s nice out here to see all of them at times. Not for me when you’re at a light next to the same color taco and you don’t know if you should turn and wave

I live in SC farm country and see as many Tundras and Tacomas as I do Chevys and Fords. More Tundras than Tacomas!

People out there are too weird. If there seems a mutual interest in our trucks, I wouldn't mind talking to them.

Yesterday I had my maxtrax mount up top, and an older biker walked by pointing up top and saying "that's cute." Smh, but afterwards I just chuckled to myself.
