    All stock, baby!
On a trip to Death Valley last week, I noticed my MIL and VSC indicators came on as I was driving and I thought, "Well, that's just great, haven't even made it to the valley yet!" Thankfully I had my OBD reader with me and when I got to the motel I fired up OBD Fusion and looked at the codes. I was a bit surprised there were so many.

    Truck info: '11 DCLB 4x4, V6, AT, 113K, battery 4 mos. old

After reading up on all of these and doing some checks I decided nothing was of major concern so I cleared the codes. They haven't returned after ~750 miles driven so I'm in somewhat of a wait and see mode, although I'm going to do some additional investigations as noted below.

So the C1290 I'm not too surprised about. On the drive into Death Valley on Highway 190, there's a section going over the first mountain range that's always windy as hell. While driving straight down the road, I had the steering wheel turned consistently to the right to compensate for the hard push to the left I was getting. On top of that, my steering wheel center position is of by a few degrees the same direction, possibly caused by my recent replacement of the intermediate steering shaft, and I think it was off a bit to begin with after my last alignment. I'd driven for 1K miles or so prior to the trip without issue, so I think the combination of these two issues is what caused it. I'll see if a small tweak to the tie rod ends will be enough to dial in the wheel and hopefully avoid having to reset the center point.

The C1201 is present so often with other codes, I'm not concerned about it. The C1241 and P0012 are a bit surprising to me, though. I checked the battery voltage the next day and it was 12.6V, and when the engine is on it's charging at 13.2 - 13.4V. So I don't think there's an actual problem with the battery or charging system.

Lastly, P0012 is well-discussed on the forums. I'm going to pull the VVT screen this weekend and make sure it's nice and clean; if not I'll put in a new one. I'll deal with the one on the driver's side when I pull the alternator to inspect/replace the brushes. Note that the engine is running great; power/responsiveness is fine, got about 18.4 MPG overall on the trip.

What I'm thinking about is whether the C1241 and P0012 could be related, possibly due to a poor ground somewhere. I'm going to go check and perhaps clean up all of the under the hood grounds this weekend.

Anything else come to mind that I should consider looking into?
