Wow that bed has seen some changes... what are you running currently and how did those bed accessories rate against one another?

I tried that with my Magnetic Gray because I wanted to blend in.
Around here, stock doesn't blend in anymore.
My mods all started with needing new tires.

I have a love/hate problem with camper shells

the snugtop I liked just because of the color. Well and the lines. But I wouldn’t get another snugtop.
The smartcap was nicer but I didn’t like the lack of flow in the lines.
Diamondback is a nice tonneau cover but I prefer low profile.
decked system was a waste of my time as I already had 2 pelican boxes, 2 Engels, and a dometic on L tracks I laid down.
I like the victory rack now because I have lights on the front bar into the bed and sides of the truck. The rear bar is moved up close to it like a chase rack. But if I camp, I just got a gfc superlite.
I like the versatility of the L track and the pelican boxes. I have a 13 gallon water tank also. Obv I don’t use everything at once but that’s the beauty of this setup. Everything is mobile. And adjusts to accommodate.

I’ve been eyeing the gfc topper lately.

I’ve had this 2018 3rd Gen Tacoma Access cab 4x4 for almost 2 years now. Daily driver, occasional off road when I can. Installed 5100’s up front, 4600’s in the rear. Leveled but stock for now. Light bar, fog lights, rear LED’s, stereo amp & sub. Super sport SnugTop shell.
I’d like to add a lift maybe in a couple of years, will see. Truck handles pretty nice on & off road as is. My last Tacoma was an ‘03 (1st Gen) lifted 2” with the V6. This one is the 4 banger so it definitely has less power but I’m getting used to it. It does get much better MPG so that’s a good thing.

Everyone enjoys and or uses them in a different way. As long as everyone is happy that’s all that matters
Within reason of course there is no wrong way.

Only complaint with stock stock are the halogen headlamp output and fog light outputs. On lit roads it isnt an issue but in any conditions it can feel like driving with a Maglite off the front of the truck.

Looks good leveled with that color matched Snug Top on the long bed! Stock leafs on the back of these can be pretty weak, overtime may see some sag and need an AAL kit to stand it back up. If youre going to lift in the future might plan on full leaf replacements in the back vs blockings or reusing the OEMs.

blinding me with that reflection! Last time my truck was that clean was the day I bought it!

GFC are amazing systems and top notch quality, but as you said, "everything is mobile... adjust to accommodate"; the GFC full beds arent really that. Versatility of a chase/bed rack system are what makes them ideal, I like Leitner Designs as theirs you can push the top bars forward to stand taller objects in the bed and offer lockable, water tight, side bins and water tanks that keep your bed space still usable as well as the top of the rack for awning, solar, RTT and more. Leitner also makes compatible kits with bed tonneau covers that have T tracks on top if you still need a water tight bed too.

Yea I put on an Alcan leaf pack on the ‘03 that gave me the 2” lift. Thing Handled perfectly. That’s probably what I’ll do on this truck when the time comes.

Im a big fan of Alcan leafs if you know what youre building or exactly what you want. If youre indecisive with mods in the back and change/adjust weight, the Alcans can work but an Icon AAL thats adjustable might be better suited. If you know what you have back there pretty much stays in place, cant beat how perfectly dialed in the Alcans get and the ride quality is still retained regardless if 200lbs or 1000lbs added.

You run bilsteins on the 03 as well or what suspension did you pair with those Alcans?

Yup had Bilsteins in the rear, and SwayAways up front. That truck was the best vehicle I’ve ever owned, ever! Had over 218,000 on it when it was taken out by a kid that ran a red 2 years ago. Sure miss that thing..

I know if I get another topper it will spend some time off the truck and some time on. It’s just how it is with me. Really I like what I got going on right now.
D548D3B7-64CD-43F8-A4C1-4741DA802C41.jpg I’ve been thinking about molle bed panels for some additional storage options, but I can’t justify the price right now.

I had a tundra with Great LED headlights. I hated it. Maybe my eyes are different than most but I prefer the more yellowish vs the white light. I haven't even thought about upgrading the lights.

Purchased mine used with 5000 miles on it knowing I would build it just like all of my trucks in the past. It is a daily driver, I am retired, and is the result of having too many vehicles. Sold the diesel, 14 rubicon and was determined to build a truck that could do a little bit of everything. This my 4th toyo truck. 81, 86. 2011(tundra)
My purchases are based on needs more that aesthetics. but if I can have my cake and eat it too, well that works.
    1-bilstein 6112's and 5100's with 1" add a leaf. Camburg UCA's (uniball)
    2-285-75-16 bfg k2 on 8" level 8's
    3- SDHQ sliders
4-ARE topper with solid windoors to conceal the bodies
5-power tank and misc recovery items
    6-Trd pro skid
    7-dynamic diode fog lights
8-Full Size tire mounted to bedrail, cab, mount by Wilco?
9-Prinsu universal rack for the topper

No changes to the motor, truck is always dirty, but well maintained. I use it for hunting, exploring and camping. Weather tech and canvas seat covers spare the inside. Tows a turtleback getaway trailer from time to time. Build was designed to keep the payload as low as possible, but still get the job done. i do not like heavy rigs offroad. It is remarkably capable of holding its own offroad and it has 81000 on it and 70000 on the suspension set up with the topper. No issues.
Immediate needs for me OP were suspension and tires. Those are always what I hit first. Then the topper. A way to carry full size spare and then armor. Recovery and then everything else as needed.
