It's been a fun day today on Taco Tuesday

Removed my black SR front bumper and rear bumper corners and got them to the paint shop to color match

    Installed my reciver hitch

Did some sticker charging with the SR 4x4 bed side stickers and tailgate Tacoma letters

And no more fish bowl look. Tinted the Windows 20% in the front and 5% for the rear

And as my wife will say..... "And it begins"

Body shop charged $400 but worth it in my opinion world of difference. Perfect color match

Yeah I bet it looks great! I may try to paint mine myself as I work in an aircraft makntenance shop and have access to a paint gun, compressor, etc.. scared to do it if the color doesn't match

I know my limits, on an old ranch truck I am all about doing it my self but on a new 2017 with only 250 miles I will leave that to the pros.

Ask me to pull a motor and rebuild it I got you covered, ask me to install a lift I got you covered. Now paint I know my limits I am way to picky and wanted to make sure it was done right. I know how to do it in theory I know the steps..... promoter, primer, sand, paint, sand, clear, sand and done. Sounds easy but not my specialty. Also to top it off makes a mess in the garage.

400 for a perfect match and done.

I totally understand, I have some experience painting so I think it would come out ok, only problem is that I can't custom mix paint so I'd be stuck with whatever "perfect match" color they had or could mix. Could be close

Do you need to know, or care?
I always say leave the paint to the experts, IMO. Mine is due in in a few weeks due to a few scratches caused by someone backing into the rear. Trust they will match exact color.

Go to auto paint supply store and they will mix to the paint code,it's a new truck so should not need blending should be spot on with a good quality paint and clear.

That's with the low range offroad level kit and stock pizza cutters until I find the right set tires. Still not sure what size I will run
