    Hello All,

I hate that I have to post this but I don't want anyone else to deal with the BS I did. First off I have read the many horror stories about ********* and their crappy way of doing business. I was looking for a 10" sub box and I really liked their design. On to more reading and I really was leery of doing business with them. After a long night of reading and comparing I decided to reach out to ********* the following morning. I used their text option which I was pleasantly surprised when I got back a really fast response. I asked if they had the box I was interested in assembled and ready to ship. They responded yes. I asked a few other questions about the box and was responded to right away. I thought...hmmm maybe they aren't so bad. I then asked how long shipping was to me in a bordering state to theirs. The response was "depends on which shipping you select" I figured what the heck. I am only one state away so regular shipping should be fast enough. I placed the order and text them thanking them for the info, and advised that I placed it. This was on a Thursday. 24 hours passed and no shipping notification came. I figured he said they were in stock ready to go. Slap a label on and send it out the door. No reply. I waited until the following Monday and text again asking if it was to be shipped soon. No answer. Tuesday I text again. I got a simple reply stating that they would do what they could to ship soon. Thursday rolls around and nothing. I text again. No reply. We are now a week and a day into it by Friday and I text again. I get a reply that states. "Pretty sure it shipped last night." I advised I had not received tracking info. A few minutes later I receive an email with tracking info. Yay. Here we go. I wait until that evening and the tracking never showed a pick up or UPS possession. I wait until the following Monday. No change. Just a label printed and no possession by UPS. I wait until that night. No update. Tuesday of the 2nd week I text. No answer. I text again. This time I get "Sorry for the delay. Should have been scanned in already. Let me check" hours pass.. nothing. I text again this time a bit pissed and worn thin. I get back some BS about tariffs and them doing their best to not raise prices yadda, yadda." Then they go on telling me that the box I ordered was their most popular and they are doing their best to keep up.. Then I am told "The subwoofer box should ship this coming Thursday." WTF!

Point 1. I asked if they were in stock ready to ship. Either there was a lie on the front end of this conversation or one at the end or the entire thing. Who knows.

Point 2. I would have paid extra for shipping if that meant it would get out the door right away. Usually you pay extra shipping because that impacts the mode of transport NOT prioritization to simply print a label and have it picked up.

Point 3. They said it was out the door last week. They print a BS label to dismiss me for a while and then it turns out that it was never shipped and they expect it to be a few more days.

Point 4. Tariffs? Its a wooden box! If were talking an amp then maybe. Even then, cost rise then raise yours price. Don't blame shitty service on tariffs... SO freaking odd!!

Man. I do a ton of online shopping. I have even traded with Asian sellers across the ocean. This was by far the shadiest company I have ever dealt with. I have asked for a refund. Lets see how that goes. I paid via PayPal and have started a dispute. I have attorneys in Austin that will be in touch with them shortly.

The moral of the story here is if they would be up front and even charge more to have the ability to provide better service they would be much more successful. They wouldn't have such a crappy name out there and.... they could save the time they spend responding to AG letters, BBB inquiries and PayPal disputes and use that time to further their business.

I will update if I ever get my money back.

Be careful out there my friends.

I almost bought/ ordered from them, since i live in the same city and state. I figured i would stop by and see the shop, the page looked like they had an open shop and would be friendly to customers. Nope closed shop by appointment only... that right there only told me Nope this seems sketchy AF. If it was a good shop like most are they would have an open door for customers.

Crazy to hear such a story from a local. At this point it isn't the money. It is the principal of what they do and how they treat folks. You would think their time would be better spend making good products (which they have this part) and providing great service. Instead, from the looks of things they are dealing with pissed off people all the time which consumes so much of a businesses resources. Such a shame.

I really just want to have a pleasant transaction. You have a product to sell that meets my need. I have the money to buy your product. You sell it and ship it under fair terms. We both benefit. Isn't that the American way?? This guy blaming tariffs? Makes you think about them in a political way and what their motives are...Hmmmm.

I hear you T4EFTMFW. After texting and getting fast responses I truly wanted to receive my stuff and I would have been right here posting a positive experience. I just don't get why someone would have a business and not want to fix a bad reputation. I was that guy for more than one organization. I was literally recruited to fix companies. Some hired me directly and some I simply consulted for. ********* has such a HUGE opportunity to be as big as Crutchfield if they would focus more on service vs price. We all don't mind paying a bit more for a great product coupled with GREAT service. In-fact it is the service that is remembered for years after the product is long gone. I bet many of the folks on this forum have had systems dating back to when they were teenagers. I am old at this point but love great sound. I can remember who helped me with the many vehicles I have had in the past 40 years. Those people, if still around today, will always have me as a customer.

If you were only getting great products. For example, the Recurve they sell, which they claim was developed over a 4 year period to work with Toyota’s head units and their internal digital signal processor, is a re-badged BOSS EQ 600 with tiffany interconnects. Pretty sure their amps are BOSS too. Not sure what that says about the enclosures, but probably nothing good.

This isn’t surprising. Not because of their rep. But because their company location is a private residence.

It’s obvious that this is just a side gig or have higher priorities. They probably have a full time job doing other work, this is common.

I know quite a few small specialty retailers who do business like this - out of the garage. Nothing wrong with that. But they all allow you to either come visit or come pick stuff up if they're local and all seem to like to put a face with a name & shake a hand. And they all understand that service matters. I personally would not dismiss one on the location alone. It's probably the only way some can remain in business and keep prices reasonable.

I'm baffled that TT still manages to sell stuff to people in this forum considering all the negative posts.

I was reading a thread alittle while ago about them shipping. Same thing with the free shipping, they even have a little bit on their site about how free shipping is 7 days from when we decide to ship it, no 7 days from when you order.

I have been so close to ordering from them several times, but each time I have everything in my cart and ready, I remember that If I actually want my items, then I shouldnt order from them.

I paid for first class shipping. I forget the exact time frame but think it was about three weeks between ordering and them shipping the part. There response was something along the lines of we’ll use first class shipping when we shop it.

@Taco1.1 I actually thought that exact thing when he said they would have shipped if I would have paid for upgraded shipping. I think they pull whatever excuse fits the complaint. Anyone have a suggestion on a single 10” box? Mr. Marv is a great guy and a great option. So much so he is a few weeks out to build a box.

What year do you have? I have used several different boxes from SuperCrewSound and have had excellent results. Good prices, very fast shipping times. They list a box if you don’t mind removing the drivers side plastic cubby. They also list a few other options if you have a ‘16 or older

2019. I looked at theirs today. I’m fine to remove the plastic cubby. Any other mods to the metal surface?
