    So I had everything working for a few weeks, while I was on a road trip the sub stopped working. I checked the amp it’s good, no blown fuses, or anything wrong I could see.

    I haven’t check the wires running to the sub yet just because I don’t want to tear the seat out and all that at my buddies house. But will do it once I get home.

    Just looking for some things to check before I start freaking out haha.

    You’ll need a multimeter. Grab a cheap one from harbor fright if you don’t already have one. They’re very handy.

    Check for voltage at the amp’s power and ground inputs. The fuse may be damaged even if it doesn’t look blown. If you have 12+ volts at the amp, crank the truck and check the REM remote input at the amp for voltage as well.

    let us know after that

    Sub was blown. After about a month of use. Grabbed a kicker compR and it sounds a million times better than the taco tunes one.

    Thanks for that info. Their subs are usually pretty good, but Taco Tunes sells the lower end ID speakers and subs which I think at this point or just Powerbass speakers renamed.

    I am trying to find a good sealed box to fit in our trucks. Right now I have a JL Micro Sub 8W3 that sounds good, but I really don't like ported enclosures. How was the fit on your Taco Tunes box and was it worth it price wise for just the box?

    I have a Taco Tunes box with a woofer and amp out of a Fosgate P-300-10 powered sub. It sounds great and have had zero problems. I like the fact that the box bolts up the back wall using the cubbies bolts and mount.

    @groundball8404 Ok gotcha. I’m looking to go back with an 8” in mine as well. Think I may try a CompRT 8 in a OEM box I ran across. Was wondering how an 8 actually sounds in these trucks. What part of NC are you in

    Out in Jacksonville. Those CompRTs do sound good. I kind of want to move to a 10 in a sealed box or a passive radiator box. Kicker has a passive radiator 8 that I looked at because it fits without removing the storage behind the seats, but the 10 doesn't. I changed out the head unit today so I need to do some tuning, but the JL is pretty musical for being ported.

    I’ve looked at those passives too. I was trying to keep an OEM look so that stock box may do ok with the 8”. Changing the HU should make a big diff. Add some sound deadening to your front doors too. That will wake up those stock speakers. Was gonna say if closer, I’d take a listen to that JL

    I think you would like the JL, but not sure how it would sound in the factory enclosure.

    The new head unit was a game changer. I went with Sony ES components up front and coaxs in the back. It's basically all the Sony ES including the new head unit and 5 channel. This is my first time with any Sony gear, but when I heard the ES components compared to the JL C3s they sounded better. I usually go for Morel or Image Dynamics, but wanted to try something different this time and I am impressed. The sub doesn't hit as hard as it did off the factory head unit for some reason so I need to check a few things at the amp. It is definitely more musical now though.

    If I went JL it would be in the box it comes in. I’m going with Morels up front and leaving the stock in the rears off a Kenwood excelon HU. All will be pushed by an Audio Control LC4.800. I’ve heard that new Sony line is nice
