I have a 2021 TRD sport 4x4 non JBL ,Im looking to gather stereo gear , speakers , 5 channel amp and a sub.
I know OEM plus makes a complete plug and play but I think you can build a better system for the same money or a little more.
Taco Tunes make a harness that plugs in to the stock harness so it will not need spicing.
According to an install shop they say it will not work ,

They make about 10 different harnesses so depends on the specific one you’re looking at. Plenty of people have used their harnesses for 2021 models

The stereo installer said they don't make one for my truck . So now I will pick up all the harnesses I need.
Thank you for the help. Time to place an order.

They definitely do. The picture didn’t show the 2020+ connectors (it may not still) but it is correct. You technically only need the add-a-sub harness, and then get some speedwire (enough to reach your amp and back)

I’m trying to install a LC7i in my 2021 and ********* said I’d their plug and play amp harness. Do you think that’s correct? I was going to run speed wire from the harness to the LC7i mounted next to my amp.

Depends on which plug-and-play harness you’re talking about, but yes that is correct

This is the one that was recommended, looks like it will do the job.

You’ll want to get the add-a-sub harness. I think it’s like $35. Then you’ll cut the long wires off, cut the harness in half, and splice in your speed wire
