I was in the Navy. Marines just like to give us shit because they're more "badass" I give them shit right back usually something about how dumb they are and how the Navy wouldn't take them because they failed to color in the lines or some stupid shit. Its all in good fun man. All the branches give each other shit, but all have respect for each other. You'd understand if you were ever military.

 

I don't know Chicago. I know that the OP said if he had access to a gun, he might want it used on the person that tore up his cars. Frankly, I don't blame him for that and could see myself thinking the same thing.

Chicago has some of the strictest gun control laws in the country yet also boasts the highest gun violence rates. In the US, area's that respect the 2nd Amendment tend to have the lowest crime and violence rates.

 

Yes, I saw you were in the navy and if you'd noticed, I actually did serve in the military as well...USAF. I know we always give each other crap, which was what I was doing with the marine...he's the one who was getting his panties in a bunch, as do most marines when I remind them under whom they serve.

 

I love these branch pissing contests!

 

But our uniforms are blue and our deployments are so long and lonely. Once our DFAC was even out of ice cream!!

Guns are a tricky thing. I have lots of guns in my walk-in-gun safe. I don't have anything against guns as to me they are just a "tool" albeit and deadly one. The way we feverishly treat them in this country like an extension of our body is a little weird to me. I envision a future where we collectively don't include using guns as a solution to our disagreements. Then we could have all the guns we want without worry.
