I was really considering this grille but the above comments are making me reconsider. I've only had the truck a couple weeks now and I'm itching to get a new grille.

@CarverLB yea it’s tough. I looked all over it’s slim pickings. Some people like my 2020 off road grille. I just prefer the lettering better. Gonna sell the one I got once I get a new one in the next few weeks.

@punkmanmatthew idk there are a couple posters on here who were critical of a couple grilles they just Recently purchased from there. I wrote them asking a couple questions about their grille and got a prompt response back. I personally never owned one.

@fkLymphoma i have the 2020 TRD offroad grill. I just got the truck it’s the stock grille. If you google it it’ll pop up. Gonna get a pro grille after market. Local dealer had an OEM Trd pro grill but they wanted 350$.

2018 off road mgm with red letters, bought back in March and has held up awesome! I did have to use a set of different screws, to hold down the bracket after the original ones fell out some how other than that no issues. Everything was plug and play. I bought for this vendor and was very fast in responding to my emails about questions and what not. I love the grill and I get lots of compliments. D7D71AE8-B806-4B5D-9485-3885820162CD.jpg

I will also jump on here and say I do not support TACOVINYL just based on the few interactions I’ve had.

Tacovinyl’s Instagram story said “order your pro grill today and it will be sent out by 5pm mst!” So I order and when prompted to checkout it says add color matched lettering to your order. So I see they are in stock, add to cart, and checkout. Then I wait, I wait, I wait, I’m still waiting.

Two days after I purchase, they announce their 4th of July sale. 10% off. I reach out and ask, where is my product and if it’s still being processed can I add the discount to my order or get store credit for what the discount would be and I’ll buy a couple more items. I wait, I wait and I wait. I get the response, you can not apply the discount. We are still processing your order and it’s because we have to custom paint the letters and cure them upon order. Sooo... they’re not actually in stock and there is no disclaimer of how long it takes them to paint those 7 letters.

I think there should be something indicating this is a made to order piece and will take them a month to have. Not “IN STOCK!” I think there needs to be a cancellation policy and return policy, which I’m not even asking about because I know it’ll be some 10% restocking fee for an item that hasn’t left the shelves yet.

bad customer service if ordering a grill. Maybe stick to their little stickers and you’ll have better experience.

There customer service is horrible, there tss brackets are the cheapest brackets that have been made, period. The grills themselves are the cheap plastic ones on ebay. He sources the letters, he doesnt do anything himself. Also the letters are put on with two sided tape get ready to glue those babies or they will fall off. Also get ready to buy you another tss bracket from another seller, i had to get mine from customcargrills.com....tacovinyl is a joke!! His old grills he use to make were legit but not anymore!!!

It's sad to see the customer service has gone in the crapper. I had nothing but a positive experience when I ordered mine last year.

Really sucks to hear all this. I can definitely say the original ones are great grills. Mine looks the way I bought it over a year ago including the TSS sensor. Not sure what happened to him. I know he was a one man shop but that's no excuse to make empty promises on a now sub par product.

I just installed the Raptor 2.0 from Tacovinyl on my brand new Tacoma. The grille itself is made out of cheap plastic. It does look incredibly good, specially with the DRLs and the blinkers integrated. But odds are it wouldn’t resist an impact with a bird.

My PCS light came on roughly 2 minutes after leaving my driveway. I’ve been trying to ‘recalibrate’’ it for a few days now and nothing seems to work. The TSS bracket is extremely cheap. It’s all warped the screws to hold it onto the grille were loosed the second I screw them in, the double sided tape at the bottom of the bracket is weak and came off when the screws gave up, the studs coming out of the bracket to attach your TSS sensor are way to short, therefore it makes any ‘’calibration’’ pretty much impossible. The bracket itself is kinda meant to tweak a little the angle at which the TSS sensor is aiming at, BUT only down, which isn’t really useful.

Overall, happy with the look, but considering the price ($$$) I would have been better with a good ol TRD pro knockoff on Amazon.

U will not get the tss sensor to work without buying another mount and if u do happen to get it to work u would be one of the few. As for the recalibration it does not just recalibrate itself u would have to go to the dealer for that all u can hope for is getting it back in a position it would work..good luck
