The Audi actually came out OK too. But I still bet that's 3 grand to fix...

Thats what I was thinking. Funny thing, all those dents and the paint still looks good.

One of my coworkers accidentally backed into my Audi (an hour after I paid it off).

It dented and slightly creased the drivers side rear door, but the paint was unaffected.

The estimate from his insurance company was $2,100.

$3,000 to repair a car that isn't worth $3,000? I'd say that it didn't turn out too good for the Audi. If you took it to a dealer or a reputable shop I would doubt that it would be fixed for less than three grand.

I backed into one of those reinforced steel mailboxes last week, and I must say that the mailbox won. The estimate was around $1200, because they have to replace the entire tailgate. Unfortunately, since my wife totaled our 1st Gen less than 36 months ago, the increase in premium would amount to about a third of that - and, if we had another collision claim within six months of this one, the total increases would far exceed the repair cost. Therefore, I'm taking it to a cheaper shop and telling them to pull the dent out as best they can and repaint...

I have had some audi encounters lately, is it just me or is it required to not pay attention to anything around you when you drive an audi?? I have seen more audi's on the back of a flat bed tow truck or in a line along side the road (usually last in line) with the front bumper pushed back to the tires more than any other vehicle.

Exactly why I have forward and rear facing cameras going at all times now. Even though that was clearly the Audi's fault. I still have people that just pull out right in front of me like I wasn't even there.

The funny part was she almost hit me right before this, I saw her in my rear view on the phone, she was slamming the brakes to avoid hitting me. After I moved up to make a right on red she just slammed into me. The fix to the Audi won't be cheap at all the radiator support was pushed back to the engine and broken so $3000 may be low balling that one, it was spraying coolant all over the road the pics are after a passer by and myself pushed her out of traffic. Was debating just knocking the dent out and plastidiping it but looking at it this morning the bumper is pushed to the right about 3/4 of an inch, so taking it in and praying the frame isn't tweaked.

    Sucks for the fancy VW.

Just another reason I like owning a truck.

Just another reason to be lifted. Fully convinced that she would have done way more damage if she had not have went mostly under the truck.

Toyota owns part of Audi and they actually have a really big relationship in terms of sharing their Tech/R&D with eachother. I find it hilarious what low opinions some of the DieHard Toyota fans here have of Audi.
