It would interesting to see the demographic makeup of the Tacoma buyer/owner. My sense is Tacoma's will never reach the kind of "cult" status that some marques achieve, because it's "still just a truck". One of millions and millions of "pickup trucks" on the road today. I guess if you want to wave at another Tacoma driver, go ahead. After all, it's a friendly gesture that shouldn't offend anyone. I live in a small town and everyone waves at everyone - LOL. If you want the other driver to wave back, buy a Corvette.

generally here, and I use that word loosely. its younger/20's in the first gens, and older 30's, 40's + in the newer tacomas. makes sense.....cheaper vs more expensive.

I run a mid year '66 fastback, the older bodies all wave... Newer, not so much. I don't think the passion for the car runs as deep with guys who just go buy one. Mine is a lifetime obsession that my kids will inherit.

I get the motorcycle greet on my bike and the corvette wave in my vette. I don't need a taco wave.
