Hi all. Just wanted to share the install process on the TacoClout side mirrors, along with a few pics and my thoughts on them. So, without further ado:

Install is pretty straightforward. If your truck has BSM, you'll have to attach the indicator to the mirror. If you get a mirror with integrated turn signal, you'll have to splice the wiring for it into the stock mirror turn signal wiring. My apologies is the steps are broken out more than they need to; just wanted to make sure anyone could follow along. Total install time was maybe 30 minutes, with the majority of that just me trying not to break the mirrors.

    Step 1:

Remove mirror cap. From front of mirror (the side that points toward the front of the truck), grip edge of mirror cap above mirror and pull towards you. It'll probably pop, that's fine... it's just the clips.

    Step 2:

Remove mirror turn signal. Remove 2x Phillips screws and undo clip on back of signal. Can let hang free or remove from vehicle completely.

    Step 3:

Remove old mirror. Using a flat headed screwdriver, carefully pry and push 2x metal clips toward rear of truck / back of mirror.

When space on mirror side, grip edge of mirror with fingers. Reach through rear of mirror housing and push on opposite side of mirror with even, moderate, pressure to pop clips on back of mirror off the attachment points on the mirror motor assembly. See picture for an idea on what the attachment points look like.

    Step 4:

Unplug all wires from back of mirror. Set mirror aside.

    Step 5:

Find correct new mirror for corresponding side of truck. If using BSM indicator, remove plastic film from front of indicator for the mirror being worked to expose adhesive. Place in mirror and press firmly to ensure adhesion.

    Step 6a:

Remove metal clips from old mirror.
(on mine, these were only on the driver's side)
    IMG_2318.HEIC.jpg

    Step 6b:

Attach to new mirror in same attachment points.

    Step 7:

Plug in wires. Route BSM wire around mirror motor assembly attachment points using the integrated retention clips.
    IMG_2316.HEIC.jpg

    Step 8:

If new mirror has integrated turn signal, pass wire through mirror housing toward front of truck.

    Step 9:

If new mirror has integrated turn signal, splice wire leads into wires for factory mirror turn signal. Black to white, and red to pink-ish. Do this however you prefer to splice.

    Step 10:

Carefully install new mirror on mirror motor assembly attachment points (see removal photo and below), ensuring wires are between attachment points and outside edge of mirror to prevent wear or binding. When installing mirror, provide even pressure on mirror to prevent breaking. Once the mirror is aligned properly, additional even pressure can be provided on each corner of center of mirror (recommend using thumbs) to seat clips onto mirror motor assembly attachment points.

    Step 11:

Re-install factory mirror turn signal using original 2x Phillips screws and the integrated clip on back of signal.

    Step 12:

Tape excess wires to clean install and prevent potential issues or accelerated wear. Tuck out of way.

    Step 13:

Re-install mirror cap by aligning with mirror body and pressing firmly around edge of mirror cap. Once it is on, repeat firm presses to ensure no clips were missed. It is common for them to not all seat at first.

    Step 14:

Repeat process on other side, starting at Step 1.

My thoughts: I love them. The field of view is greatly improved, practically eliminating the blind spot and allowing view of the rear wheels. The integrated turn signal is pretty sweet too, especially since it is sequential like the rest of my aftermarket ones.

Look like Suma Performance Mirrors, oh, looks like they work with Suma

I've had my SP ones for 3 years or so, love them. Wish they would have made Tundra ones, but Spotter Mirror came through

These are actually entirely TacoClout design and production. They are NOT Suma mirrors. Nothing against Suma or their product, TacoClout just wanted to produce their own product.

Installed similar mirrors from Suma on my Civic. These type of mirrors are great and greatly minimizes blind-spots! Much better looking than adding blind spot mirrors. Though I wish my car had signal repeaters on the mirror.

Oddly enough, Mugen sell a similar set up fourth 10th gen Civics. But I it's not something I can recommend because a) they're meant for RHD vehicles and b) they are ridiculously expensive.

Is there any option for installing the mirrors with the integrated turn signals without cutting/splicing wires, e.g. some kind of harness?

I just want to add a positive experience with TacoClout.

I bought a set of the side mirrors, love them. Beside the fact they have the badass blinker in the mirror and are tinted, they essentially eliminate any blind spot.

While driving, the blind spot monitor light is on with a car visible in the mirror and by the time the car is in my peripheral vision it’s still in the mirror.

Now the customer service story- The mirrors I received have an imperfection in the passenger side, a dimple that causes distortion.A4A6A7B0-09DA-4E7D-8C33-3F85687991D2.jpgI emailed them on a Saturday, they replied the following Monday and had a replacement set in the mail to me the following day.

I received them in less than a week in perfect condition and the only strange part was they didn’t send a return label or instructions to return the original set.

I don’t know if this is an indication they aren’t requiring I send the original set back, but I’m more than happy to do that after how they dealt with the issue, which was a no bullshit response.

Just the fact they didn’t require I return the first set before I received the replacement set, which would’ve required I pull everything apart (installed with protective plastic so didn’t see imperfection until after installed) and either run the original mirror until I got the replacement or not have a mirror at all because uninstalling and reinstalling several times isn’t something I wanted to do.
