    Got a chance to work on the truck today. Kind of HAD to make time for this though...

    Went to Windrock a couple weekends ago and along the way lost an exhaust hanger due to the exhaust pipe rusting out. Needless to say it was flailing around like crazy and the rattle plus knocking from bumps got on my nerves quickly.


    So I ordered a mandrel bent stainless steel exhaust builder kit. (Plus a bottle type resonator to try to get rid of a bit of the rasp that developed after installing the headers)

    Was able to reuse the magnaflow muffler, because stainless...

    Most of the new exhaust system put together.


    And installed.

    Decided to go a different way with the exit than normal of just dumping as soon as it gets over the axle. Went ahead and ran it almost to the rear bumper and then dumped straight down.



    We will see how it does. Didn't road test it tonight to see how the sound is, but checked it all out for leaks and to make sure it didn't rattle or hit anything. Seems to be good to go... but who knows. At least rust shouldn't be an issue this time around!
