TacoFMS' attempt at a build thread

I did notice that bad boy hanging out back there. So you got 5 Baja bosses? Smart.

I’m gonna use one of my old Grabbers as a full size spare for my new Maxxis MTs. If/When I go up to 33’ Razrs, I plan on doing a 5 tire rotation too. I like to think of these 265 Maxxis’s as a long term test run to make sure I like them enough to run them in a bigger size with a regear.

Took the truck our again the day before father's day. Forgot to even update the thread.

Only got one picture of the truck from the trip. Was trying to flex the rear properly to see how dialed in it is. Ran out of hill before I could max everything out.


New tires did quite well. Plus they are a pleasure on the road!


Just a shame I don't have photoshop, nor the skills to use it. Would like to play around with some wheel colors.

 

Man the truck is looking so good! Good to hear you like the Baja Bosses too.

That we do! I spent all the free time I had in the last few weeks installing and uninstalling and then reinstalling the seat delete

 

I saw that. Had me scratching my head. But I've never even researched any of that, so I was easily confused.

Yeah long story short, nothing lined up and their hardware sucks.

 

Thought everyone always raved about their customer service??? They didn't help?

 

Yeah were quick to respond at first and very helpful, but then they charged me $70 for new hardware.

I waited a week and the hardware still hadn’t shipped so I just canceled the order after I asked them for an estimated ship date and they never got back to me.

 

I’m definitely being nit picky but I feel like something that expensive should come with better directions and hardware

 

So, that IS NOT good customer service. In fact, one might consider that shitty customer service.

Took the truck out again yesterday for a very nice day out on the trail with some buddies.

Was also wanting to get back out to test the new tires again. Was very pleased last time, but they did lack a little on grip with where I had aired them down to. So I dropped the pressure more this trip.

That made a HUGE difference! Running these on a bit lower than "normal" air down pressure makes them insanely grippy and they perform even more like a MT tire offroad.

Rocking my @ARCHIVE rear setup I am able to get some nice stuffage of a 35" tire!!!!

However, I still haven't been able to find a spot on the trail to test full droop... seems I just can't lift a rear wheel anymore!!

Overall, I am extremely impressed and happy with where the truck is now and how it performs. Only a couple ideas still floating in my head now for changes.
