Exactly! It's the internet; where your assumptions are still ignorant and pathetic. Lol! But keep practicing...

Hey, @9516toyota Is Leo one of "those" bosses? Ugh. I'd be willing to bet that you'd be a better fit for his position. If you need a reference, let us know. Hell, I'd hire you.

Lol. I'm a 21 year old female, I don't have a helluva lot of experience, and am not as mechanically inclined as id like to be. Trying to gain it though! I appreciate any and all help.

Well said. Also, you both apparently work at Toyota. Your mechanics looking at the truck couldn't figure it out. Maybe take it to an independent shop or hire some more competent techs, because asking strangers on the internet to diagnosis an issue with only vague information seems like you have bigger issues on hand.

What we know: Truck making weird noise from 6ft away, you changed the oil, and "it just started this morning." After arguing for 4 hours you have not given us any more pertinent information. I guess just part it out would be my advice.

"boss." I was a "boss" at that age too. A supervisor in name only, basically a glorified senior trainer position who got to sit in the conference room when the real boss was handing out performance reviews.

Your truck is toast, trade it in for a Honda Ridgeline.

I can’t say if I liked that movie or not. One of those you either loved or hate.

It maybe the high pressure fuel pump. It is located in the right rear of the engine and has been known to make noises at times... most report it as a squeak more than a tick.

It is possible that there is excessive play in the rocker arms as well.. my understanding is that these engines use shims to adjust clearance.

Either could make the sound when cold and then go away when warm.

It could also just be the cleaning cycle, there are times I find it can be quite noisy....

Awesome, thank you! I will do more research into those and see what the master tech at work thinks.

Its those exhaust manifold bearings coming loose. I saw this on sling tv.....actually its probably normal. For what reason idk, some of these 3.5 v6 engines run a lot louder than others.

I will look into that as well, thank you! I don't know much about the new Toyotas, as I spent much time studying the motor in my 1995 4Runner lol.
