you guys are double counting the first second. When you start to count, you don't start at takeoff with "1....2...", at takeoff you start with "0...1...."

    honest mistake, i suppose

Nice numbers. I am more impressed on how consistent it runs though. You should start bracket racing and dial your truck in at 13.1 You would win every time. Also get some meth injection and tuning, you would be in the 12's easily then

do you think a prerunner with no front wheel drive stuff and good tires would do better than the weight of the 4WD but more traction?

That much torque on stock (A/T for the TRD OffRoad) tires and you'd either lay too much rubber to get a good launch or you'd get nasty wheel hop, especially with so much of the weight reduction in the back end (spare, hitch reciever, tailgate).

4WD makes for much better launching (check out the numbers on a stock Subaru STI) since you're spreading power through twice as many wheels and the fronts will have plenty of weight to hold them on the ground.

For 2WD drag performance you'd probably want something closer to the X-Runner configuration and stagger the tires if you're running a boosted engine like the OP (maybe beef the rear wheels up to 285-300 range lo-pros on 18" rims). No good for off-roading, but you might be able to run in the 13s or so.

and i imagine you have seen him run this at Firebird raceway? He doesn't post here much but just go over to XRU and you will find he is highly respected because he has the quickest reported Tacoma. ( maybe with the exception of Gadget).......... that, AND, us PHX guys can claim witness, as many of us were there when he was running 13.3 and 13.2 last winter.

so, as far as im concerned, Will has the timeslips, the videos of the speedometer, the videos of the run itself, AND the physical witnesses. On what grounds do you call it fake?

I'll be honest, that's what I was thinking when I saw the video. The lights passing by did appear that he was indeed moving though.

Still, how'd you mount the camera THAT solid. It's like it was welded onto where ever it was!

Speaking of dyno; what's this thing put down?

Never done a dyno and dont plan on it either.

Like I said, it's a new GoPro HD. I used one the the flat 3m sticky pads that comes with it. The thing is incredibly sturdy. When I was done racing and I had to pull it off the steering column it felt like i was gonna break the dash:p. I have had it mounted on the outside of my truck going 100 mph and it still wont shake. Very handy camera.

Now my truck is pretty smooth too, so that is helping quite a bit too, but I have mounted it on a c6 z06 before as well and its still rock solid.
