Tacoma-1, Jeep-0. Stuck

Here are some pics I thought you guys would like. Someone I work with went home for lunch in his 4X4 Jeep Cherokee Limited, came back with his wife's car... Long story how he even got into this situation, but here are the pics of when I went over and pulled him out...

I thought it was beside a road, but the pictures shows him in the ditch.. in front of the garage????

 

If they had better tires on the jeep, it would have gotten out no problem. The Quadra-Drive system on those is pretty ingenious.

 

I'd like to see a 4wd open-diff Taco get out of that.

All the weight on one side + no traction on the other = spinning.

 

Right... with TRAC in H4 or A-TRAC in L4, Tacomas have 'Quadra Drive'. So, why was the Jeep off the road... in 2WD mode perhaps?

 

And do the 08's have all that crap? Cause my 07 doesn't.

Quick story....back 1998 we had a huge 2 foot snow storm...that's big time snow for this area. Anyway, at the time my wife had a '97 AWD RAV4 with LSD. My neighbor had a mid 90's Jeep Cherokee 4x4 and lived about 300 yards away in a cul-de-sac. He got stuck trying to get out of his driveway. I took the wife's little buggy down there with a tow strap and jercked his butt out of his driveway and up the hill...with some help from him, of course. Still though...he was rather humiliated.

Two different vehicles, but both seem to have stuck up owners that think they have the best offroad vehicle on the market.

 

I can't fucking wait to be old. I plan to have two enormous cadillacs welded together front to back, and there will not be any way whatsoever to turn the left turn signal off.
