    Happy Monday!!!!

Stupid guy ran a yield and I had to lock the brakes up going 50. She obviously didn't stop.

Everyone is fine- I am sore but I am so happy I was in the Tacoma and not in my old WRX.

Doesn't look like much damage to your bumper from your picture, maybe a bit of crookedness. Time for a steel bumper :bananadance::muscleflexing:

She missed the hitch. Bumper is pushed into the side of the bed. 2,300 damage w/o looking at the frame.

Get that frame fixed if there's any damage and take the payout for the bumper and get yourself some steel for sure!

So you actually got in front of the Kia? In hindsight (being what it is...), hitting the gas instead of the brakes would have avoided the collision?

No! I was driving in three lanes of traffic in the right lane. A guy came in on the right yield lane and cut me off. I had cars on my left so it was hit him or hit the brakes. There was no hitting the gas- I had been in my lane for over 2 miles.. the Kia was behind me in the same lane. Just an accident, she said she hit her brakes and just slid. No hindsight here.

Ah, so the driver of the Kia didn't cut you off. She was following too close (or not paying enough attention).

Just this morning on my way to work I saw a Jetta (2014?) rear ended a 4runner. Jetta's whole front end was mashed up and I couldn't see a scratch on the 4runner as i drove by. Nice to have taller vehicles!

Actually I know she wasn't- When I asked for her insurance info she said it was in her phone and it was dead. Took 20 min to turn on while plugged in to my truck

If the bedside is damaged, you'll have to cut it and replace with high clearance. It's really the only option.:sawzall:
