You can only lower a first gen tacoma a couple inches in the rear before your axle begins hitting your frame.

I was unhappy with the stance and the tire gap. It was c notch time!

at 4 inches you lose all use of everyday driving...gotta notch it if you want to use your truck without worrying

This truck would look sick with some Brembos behind the wheels.

Do they make brembo kits for these? I would love to upgrade the brakes.

It isn't really a kit. You buy Brembos for a Cadillac ATS and rotors for a Lancer Evo VIII-IX. The rotors get the bore widened by a machine shop and some holes drilled so they can bolt to the Tacoma hub. The caliper mounting holes align to the ones on the Tacoma spindle. All you need to do is bore out the spindle holes to accept the larger bolts for the Brembo caliper. Stainless brake lines for a Tacoma or for a WRX STI will round it out.

I love the big front brakes, but my next little project is going to be a cab swap. I picked this double cab up today. Super clean.

1st gen Tacomas ran 95.5-04. The 01-04s had different leafs from 95.5-00 as far as I know. 95.5-00 should be the same fitment.
