Small stuff but not for long!
Got a link to the rear leafs? any squeaking? I see mixed reviews about the leaf pack on the GS website.

https://www.generalspringkc.com/product_p/90-297hd.htm Those are the exact springs I ordered, I called because the regular springs are side specific, but they’re not side specific for the HD springs. He told me it was because the difference in weight from side to side wouldn’t matter with these heavy duty springs. And there was a little squeaking after about a month. Not much at all, I sprayed gel silicone on the bushing and it hadn’t squeaked in months.

Planning this same setup, hoping OP or others can chime in and provide some input...

Did you have to shim the rear end and/or do a carrier bearing drop?

    Thanks!

I didn’t have to do anything like that, just had to put on the parts and I was good to go. There was no driveline vibration or anything like that, everything went smoothly. The only thing that happened was on the leaf springs I had to spray some white lithium after about a month because it squeaked at the bushing, but that’s stopped now. If you want it more level I’d use 885 springs, as I’ve thought about switching but I haul trailers occasionally and it’s nice to have the truck not squat.

Bilstein 5100's on all four corners. Front set @ 0 with OME 883x coils. Alcon leaf springs. Viper Alarm. Wet Okole seat covers. WeatherTech Floor liners front and back. Oem Toyota chrome exhaust tip. ARE Shell. America Outlaw Wheels.
Looks good OP. Good job of thinking it through! I am thinking of going the 884. I now have 883 but would like another 1/2 more of lift which will give me a total of just a little under 2 1/2. My only concern is needing UCA. Oh and nice color by the way.

After following this post, I decided to do the same setup, including the 265/75 16 tires. In my opinion, the ride is better than stock, supports more weight, and looks better than stock. I have a fiberglass cap and a drawer system in the 6’ bed. After 10,000 miles of testing, I have had no issues and only about a 1/4” of settling. The lift settled in at 2 1/4” over stock. For me, this is the perfect set up!

I didn’t need any UCA’s, mine aligned perfect, but I know each truck seems to be a hair different in that department.

I’m glad it worked out for you, I’ve got probably 40-50,000 on the lift now and it’s not settled anymore than originally, it’s definitely a nice setup. I’ve had no issues at all with it.

When using the OME lifting shocks, you always want to set the 5100’s at 0, because the springs are doing the lifting rather than the shocks. These springs are longer than stock, so you could get issues by preloading them setting it at any higher than 0”. Or at least that’s what I’ve found from all the threads here before I ever started.

Most aftermarket U bolts are a trim to fit part. It's very common for them to be too long. Once everything is on and torqued down, use an angle grinder to cut them off to the right length. I like to leave about 3 threads after the nut.

Truck looks outstanding, once it's time to do new shocks on mine I'm planning to emulate this setup.

I put on the exact same lift about a year ago. It has been fantastic and rides better than stock. I never hit the bump stops anymore, even with a load of rocks in the back. I don’t have any vibs, it really hasn’t settled at all, and alignment is good. They do squeak, though I haven’t tried greasing them. I only really notice it offroad.

I have considered trying to bump the front up a bit more. Even tossed around the idea of a 1/2” top spacer on the driver side, and move the 1/4” spacer to the passenger side. Wouldn’t gain a ton from it, but I still like some rake.

Nice looking truck. My truck is same color but long bed with topper. You used the 884 coils up front?

Yup, 884s, 5100s set time 0, and 1/4” trim packer on the drivers side.

Another thing to note, my eccentrics were seized in and I needed to cut them off and replace the lower control arms before I could get it aligned. Apparently this is not uncommon for the Tacomas, so it is a potential extra cost to be aware of.

Eccentric bolts or cam bolts. They hold your lower control arm on and allow adjustability for alignment.
