tacoma 2002 trd double cab takes tundra 2005 rear springs?

    as the tiltle says, would the tundra 2005 springs fit my tacoma 2002 trd? thanks

    Don't quote me on this as I haven't tried it myself, but I believe you'll run into some issues:

    1: While the Tundra springs are the same width, they are a good bit longer. 55"ish compared to 60"ish, I believe. Much longer shackles and/or new hangers would be required.
    2: With that longer spring, I'm willing to bet that the centering pin is further back as well. This would overextend the driveshaft to the point of falling apart.
    3: With the increased wheelbase, the tires would be pushed into the rear of the fenderwell.
    4: I also think the Tundy's used a reverse shackle outboard the frame, thus requiring more arch compared to the tacomes convention under-frame shackle. Not sure how much lift that would equate to.

    All surmountable issues if you have the time/willingness/money, but seems like a lot of trouble for whatever possible improvements...

    thanks guys, i wont do it, just my neightbour giving me a pair of his spring from his old truck. I was nt sure they will fit.
