I noticed Toyota of Irving, Texas had 3-3500 off all of the expensive Tacos they had listed on cars.com. It seems they are starting to get a little hungry in these parts. Competition is good.

Maybe. It seems there is more inventory on the lots in my area now. Maybe the increased production is finally showing, or the rush for the new gen has tapered off some. Whatever the factor, looks like it is finally normalizing in my area.

Yeah I think 2500$ under MSRP was what most people were reporting. Now with $3000-$3500 you are reporting, makes sense. Good for buyers :D

    Your invoice price is
    7146 - SR5 DOUBLE CAB 4X2 V6 AUTO.................... $ 26259

You would have to look up the invoice price on your options:
Tow, steps, appearance package. Mats. Exhaust tip.

About 3K in tax and registration.

I think for SO CAL, you are getting a great deal.

Thanks! I appreciate the input. I emailed dealers all over so cal with no luck on any deal. Finally went to test drive one and hours of negotiations later, I came away with a new tacoma. Glad to know it's a good deal in my area though.

I dealt with 11 local dealers. Couldn't make a deal, and no one wanted to order what I wanted.

So I got allocation from a dealer in UT and OR. They got me the truck I wanted. I paid for it, and should be here in 26 more days...
    I went with DCSB OR 4x4, 6MT

Mine was invoice +$300. No doc fees. TTL is on my own.

Yea, in California it would appear demand still outstrips supply so they don't have to deal. And not ordering you something at MSRP is just asinine. Thankfully the service departments typically know nothing of those incidents, where you bought it, etc. At least that seems to be the case here. They've never given me a hard time for buying from a different dealer.

I have never had issues with service

My subaru, lotus, Hondas, lexus have all been purchased new from far away dealers as my local dealers never seem to want to deal

But they love to service and do warranty work no issues at all.

Did you order that from the dealer or did they have it on the lot? I'm looking for the same type of setup but most of the dealers by me only have the TRDs. What city did you buy in?

If you want SR or SR5 4X4 do a national search. I see tons of them on auto trader

Locally it's all limited and TRD

Bare bones are all in other states

Same here in the DC area. Dealer dropped $3k off sticker before even walking on the lot. Hard to turn down when 2015 and 2014 Taco's are moving for just a few thousand less.

ACLB, 2.7 i4, SR with Utility package. Price was $21,999. Tax, tag and title were $1,726.63 on top of that.

    From: https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/3rd-gen-tacoma-model-package-option-costs-master-list.388345/

    7162 - SR ACCESS CAB 4X2 4-CYL AUTO LB............... $ 22181 | $ 23660 * +337/+360

I would guess the above list/msrp prices should be reduced on the "Utility package" vehicles by the below amounts.

    BZ - SR Utility Package (Removes Rear Seat)............... $ -1441 | $ -1715

On 10.03.2015, Lithia Toyota of Abilene dealership concluded the sale; included window tint, full tank of gas, nitrogen and the offer of a detail job. I declined the detail.

IIRC at the time, Family Toyota in Burleson published the identical vehicle for $1,000 less; I'm not sure of their throw ins as I didn't follow up with them.

(from OP) List: Cab configuration, engine, package, price pre-tax, tag title...
