A lot of people seem to have trouble in the DFW area finding a deal. This will still work but you may have to drive a ways to get your truck. Read this this about what I did.

yessir, i have read through that thread twice already and have it up on my browser as we speak. thank you.

glad to know i'm not the only one. i guess this is my experience of the 'sellers market' problem. and i haven't even tried anything remotely 'low ball'.

 

you just need to email dealers and a lot of them. Took me about 40 before I found a couple to bite on invoice pricing.

 

yeah i think my next step is to contact the rural dealers around me. as far as out of state goes, i'd consider that for the Pro, but i don't think i'll have more luck. this sucker already offered $1500 over MSRP for a '17 Pro MT Taco... and they turned me down. but they did offer it to me for $4k over MSRP, down $1k because they liked my shirt. or something. lol

 

You're not going to find any deals on a Pro. At best you'll pay MSRP

Dude you did the right thing walked. You may have to look out of state. There are good deals on 2017 I just ordered and picked my 2017 OR 4x4 dbl cab long bed. Tow. PT/JBL step bars. Mud guards and bed mat. Got 4000.00 off MSRP and they gave me 7500.00 for my 06 trade in. I am located on the east coast

I tried to deal with the dealer in Ardmore, Ok when I bought mine. They had a red Baja but I really wanted white. It had side rails which I really did not want. I made them an offer that was higher than I ended paying and they basically laughed at me. Richardson Toyota was willing to give me employee pricing, invoice, if I ordered one. Sales manager went on vacation for a week I started talking to her sales dude that tried to sell me on port option I did not want. Ended up with a real good deal at Rockwall. $3800 off MSRP. It was $3500 but I agreed to take delivery on 4/31 for another $300. Prices on Pros are ridiculous and nothing like deals on Bajas.

 

...^^^... Crazy ... but very true too here ... I just can't pay MSRP for a vehicle and then have more dealer options and fees added to an OEM MSRP.

 

i'm glad to hear this. sales mgr called back this morning, i re-offered $37,200 for the almost loaded '17 TRD OR DCSB MT Premium pkg and the answer was again, "No."

emails out to dealers further out. this is Dallas culture. a culture of opportunistic profiteering salesmen. and little more.

This was an all inclusive out the door price: Truck/Tax/Title/Registration. How does this compare with what you would expect someone to pay?

 

It depends on the tax rate and registration costs in your state. But you got a good deal unless there's something we're missing.

 

Tax and registration is about $380 total.

 

That's really the only way others can match their deals up to what you got. You still got a pretty awesome deal.
