The sticker price on mine was $39k

They offer the Tech Package with a Manual, not sure why they would assume you would not like any options if you like to shift yourself.

I know you can get the tech package with the manual. There is one by me, but it is the only one I've seen in my area and I've been looking for about a year. I would have purchased it, but I the tech package isn't really important to me and I reeeaallly wanted blazing blue pearl.

My bad then, I guess I misunderstood when you said a couple posts up that you hadn't yet ever seen a Manual with a Tech Package. That is a nice color blue, when I bought my last 3 Tacomas I insisted they find me Silver with a Manual.

On this deal they did or could have made money via:
    • Dealer "Hold Back"
    • Dealer fee
    • Factory to dealer sales incentives/targets
    • Service Dept. gets a piece of the Delivery and set-up charges
    • If you finance thru Toyota they get a kick-back
    • Did you buy a service contract or extended warranty (Huge profit there)
    • Trade? it will generate positive #s down stream
Plus the normal sales stuff. Big picture the dealer or likely a multi-brand / multi-locations dealer group does not loose $. They have highly complex metrics and controls and can "squeeze the balloon" to make the necessary coin for the owners.
    • Hit #'s for end of the month / quarter / year
    • Cut floor costs as much as possible
    • Caught them in a cyclical peak of excess inventory and they are willing to accept lower profit
    • Free up some $/credit to get the next $$$$ thing in or ordered
    • Made enough profit off other buyers this month/quarter/year, they will take lower profit on this sale just to hit the other KPIs: # of sales, # of Trucks, Total turn over revenue, # of new customers, Financing volumes etc.
    • Close on enough volume this month/quarter/year they will get better allocations/prices next go around
    • Support the used car side and potentially the service dept.
    • All business have cut costs (took it out of their employees and vendors) thus they can accept a lower profit than they did LY
    • All business have accepted the fact they will make a lower profit % than they used to
    • Tacoma sales (And profits) were red hot last 18 months, it was inevitable sales and persons willing to pay MSRP+ would cool off. Taking into consideration they huge $ they made off the other buyers, Tacoma profits are still great or good enough
    • Market share is measured on multiple levels, they have targets to meet

Last deal fell through, but I've got another lined up that seems even better.

TRD OR DCSB Manual w/ tech package
    Mudguards
    Tow package

    MSRP $37,124
    Dealer Discount: $3,200
    Military rebate: $750
    Sale price: $33,174

Invoice is $34,315, so that's $1,141 under invoice before TTL.

Out the door with everything would be $35,600

Just purchased a 2017 DCSB Magnetic Gray TRD OR. Doesn't have a ton of options but all I need.
Tow Package, weather mats, 299$ pin stripe lol.

MSRP of 36,500 and made it out the door 34250. Located in Virginia so taxes are 4.3% and processing fees 599.

^^That's why I financed through Toyota. Never done that before, as I've been a USAA member for about 15 yrs now. They, PenFed, and some local banks just couldn't touch the Toyota rates (for excellent credit, anyway).

...and I got $Ks off the MSRP.

If you have a good dealership, then yes its worth it. My dealership was too worried about making money, they were just looking to beat my credit union and not offer me the best rate. I got 1.74% with lightsteamDOTcom. They wired me the money to checking account, I took a check to the dealership, got my keys and told them to fuck off

Good deal! Yeah, I was only looking at 0.5-0.75% difference, but, hey...it's money!

i was just thankful they worked with me. The dealership and I both had an MSRP bottom line...and this time, they jived.

...^^^...Cost on that is only a couple hundred bucks and is worthless and pure regional & dealer profit ... you can order without it if you can wait.

FWIW ... 3M paint protection file will yellow and your paint will not weather the same and look bad when removed years later.

Are you buying from the "SET Cartel" ??
