Hes got 21k km , so 12k miles. You think its possible that early? . I did notice the cover shaking a bit more than mine, when he opened the hood. Hmm..

Holy shit, black soot? Interesting. My engine is loud as fuck and sounds like a diesel, i believe thats how they all are. What was wrong with the transmission?

It seems extremely unlikely, but if its a factory defect, it could be.

Shaking also can be indicative of a misfire, but usually the computer catches those these days, although I'm not 100% they'll always light up the CEL.

He did mention to me that he had some misfires in the beginning, when he bought the truck. No CEL currently.

It did seem a bit slower than mine though, like a hair. Which is strange because i got e rated all terrains.

Yeah that makes zero sense - you can use whatever gas the minimum required is in the manual. I can't imagine the manual says to use Premium.

I put my foot on to paddle and got 5 seconds or more lag before the truck took off. The dealer went through multiple TSBs but each time after a month or so the truck was back to the same as before.

There is a recall on the low-pressure fuel pump on certain 2019 Tacoma’s. It’s a fairly new recall I believe. I have 2019 trd sport 4x4 with this recall and have a little sluggishness
