Good morning all. Been gone a long time. Have had a 2017 RAV 4 limited. Will be buying a Tacoma in the very near future. I am looking at a SR5 access cab with a I4 or a V6. Also kind of looked at the SR5 double cab with a V6. which would you get I4 or the V6. Drove both recently and the V6 won out. doubt I will be doing any towing. You thoughts and suggestions.

Retired? Go 4 banger, they have lots of complaints regarding highway power, but if you're in no hurry, and live on flat land you'll be good to go.

As far as resale and overall product satisfaction, get the V6.

Get the v6. The 4 cylinder could haul 2nd gens around without issue but with the lightest 3rd gen weighing 600-800lbs more it's going to struggle. Especially if you ever add any weight to it

OK. have decided to go with the V6 DB cab. Now to find the one I want with the options that I want. Thanks enforcer. 43 years working for uncle Sam was enough.

Got my first tacoma a few months back, went from driving a 4 banger commuter car to the V6. Love the V6 no regrets. I'm not into "tacoma life" enough to know all the complaints about the transmission etc that people on here mention, probably better that I just don't read that stuff lol.
