Thanks. If you or anyone else comes across abetter model I'd love to see it.

Also note that I did take one measurement of the width of my bed at the tailgate. My measurement was 1345mm and it's 1340mm in the model. Out by about a 1/4" which probably isn't a big deal.

Glad to see this is getting some traction. One thing to watch out for is the radii on the wheel wells. It's purely a guess as I knew sketchup wouldn't be able to easily model them anyways, so I didn't put much time into it.

If people really need it I can go back and build some rhino versions with accurate curvatures.

sub'd. I have a couple files that may be useful, although they are for custom applications... and have found a couple CAD files for sale around the interwebs.

Two Sketchup files of the beds for 2017 SB and LB that I made - quick and simple to work on drawer slider systems or whatever. Accurate enough to get an idea of what will fit and what won't. Have fun.

I have a 2014 DCSB, and a plethora of laser scanners at my disposal. Is there anything in particular y'all would like to see?

    Everything. Lol.

But really, the whole exterior body and what ever you could get of the frame would be awesome.

I can probably get all of that tomorrow. If not, I'll get it this weekend. If I have time, I'll get whatever parts of the interior I can.

It would be pretty useful to have an accurate model of a front spindle. I'm sure that entails a lot of disassembly though.

Rats I'm after the DCLB. But I think I'm good with what I have for my slide project.

Does anyone have 2D drawings of the 2nd gen DCLB? I could use those for some graphics.

Following up on this. I'm looking mainly for mounting location data for designing bumpers and bed items. The front bumper/grill surface data will be useful to ensure proper fit.

Ok, so I took the plunge and tried Autodesk ReCap since I have access to that. Here's what the output is so far: Will see if the high quality option is any better. Not bad for something to design around, but main concern is how accurate.
Next challenge is how I'll be able to import this.

Ok, pulled it into Fusion 360 no problem. Not sure the mesh seems as good as on the preview, but I think I can work with it.

I might jump in this photogrammetry, Idk if my phone will take decent enough photos though. Maybe I'll steal my fiance's....

I have a 3D printer and I really want to print out a DCLB and paint it to match my truck. Sometime this spring on a nice day I'll take the truck out to a flat spot and take a bunch of photos around it and send them through one of these photogrammetry programs.
