Tacoma 8.4 mechanical lsd 3rd member 3.73 gears for sale now $300 San Diego (sold)

Hi I have up for sale a mechanical lsd 3rd member with 3.73 gears found in 05-08 trd sport Tacoma’s. This is the original 3rd member pulled out of my truck at 80k miles when I upgraded to a 4.56 third member. $350 or best offer. i prefer local pick up in San Diego, due to the weight to ship, but will ship on buyers dime.

Fastenal doesn’t cover SoCal. And the factory LSD uses clutches that wear out. And the electronic *crap also works in the front, hater

 

There are a bunch of different posts here on tacoma world discussing electronic lsd vs mechanical. All the electronic lsd is an open differential, with spider gears which are also weaker. It uses your brakes to have a simulated lsd by cutting power to the wheel that is slipping. A mechanical lsd transfers the power from the slipping wheel automatically with no input form the Brakes, thus not taking away power from your engine or making you loose momentum.

I've shipped a few 3rds before in 5 gal buckets and it usually cost around $40-50 via usps. It's been at least 8 years since last I've shipped one so it may be more or less now.
